The only toy of her we have that even comes close is Botcon Chromia. There's not even a 3rd party option.

Everyone clamours for Dinobots; of course they do. But a G1 team I'd really like to see would be the full Female Autobot ensemble; especially given how IDW has given them much more distinct body types and personalities than 'token girlfriend'.
The whole 'lithe dainty pink female autobot that turns into a car' niche is already filled by Arcee. Gimme buff IDW Elita-1, dammit!

Elita wasn't portrayed as dainty. And her car mode more or less approximates Blurr's G1 style and combine ith with Pretender Diver's robot mode.

You can portray her as slim but just as deadly like Sawa from Akite or la Femme Nikita.
Another re-tool of the Blurr mold following what Takara did for the henkei Lambor/Sunstreaker ( twist here, face the fron to the back) mold and voila.......instant Elita 1.

Oh, PLEASE, no. Blurr doesn't look like every single Transformer ever. So what if the vehicle modes look a little similar? Vehicle modes aren't the most important part. I want GOOD femmebots and cons.
I'd LOVE to get the full G1 Female Autobot cast. GOOD representations of them. It'd be even better if they were their own unique mould, but I'd settle for something that at least approximates their cartoon look.
Firestar is another without a good toy. It was late so I forgot about her. Botcon did make an Arcee redeco as Flareup, which is sorta like Firestar ... but I don't think it's that great. I'd like it if it had a new head like Chromia, but then she still shares Chromia's bodytype.

Now THAT is not a work I expected to be referenced on Seibertron! Excellent taste.
Anyway, a proper Generations Elita-1 would be awesome...provided she got a new mold. As far as avoiding her looking like a palette swap of Arcee whilst keeping her recognizably feminine, how about giving her an "Amazonian beauty" physique? Still very, VERY feminine, but with undeniable power.
As an example of the kind of body-type they could give her, look at Chun-Li:

Cute, feminine, and looks like she can kick your arse (which she can!) without looking like a man.
I know it would have no fictional precedent whatsoever but I'd kinda like her to be a Voyager actually. I've always envisioned Elita-1 as a Prime, or at the very least a Prime-like character (leading from the front, inspiring presence and all that) and a piddly Deluxe just won't do the trick.

No more Windblade for a while though - I've had enough of her now.
Elita-1 or any of her team would be most welcome. As would Nightracer or similar.
I'd also not mind the odd - out of scale Voyager version of Minibot characters - especially in the Movie lines as non-screen fillers.
The likes of Warpath for example would make an interesting toy and a nice complement to the Voyager Seaspray toy.

Fun memories. This thread was one of our first discussion.
awesome memories!
And yeah, we got a classics Blackarachnoa in the legends line from Takara, which is their version of the generations line.

That's your view of things. I respect that but not necessarily accept it. Back in the G1 days, Floro Dery already was making the movie designs available in the Season 2 show.
Orion Pax already shared some Kup similarities. Dame with Blurr and Elita. Sure the angle I showed is so limited as it IS her only vehicle appearance. But using your imagination plus how Elita was rendered in robot mode you can easily tell were the inspiration of the original Blurr came from.....sans the wheels.

I never said the vehicle modes don't look the same, I said it didn't matter. Elita's vehicle mode is hardly the most important part of her look. The fact that we only saw it once, and only partially just highlights that fact. It doesn't matter that Dery designed both of them.
Elita-1 doesn't look like Blurr. Blur would make as bad an Elita-1 as he does a Nautica. I want good, official, Transformers that don't require me to use mental gymnastics to try and rationalize my purchase. I don't want to have to squint at the robot mode and rationalize the vehicle mode. I want a toy that's so good that we don't have to debate about it. There's no debate that Blur looks like Blur. Or that Hot Rod looks like Hot Rod. I don't want to debate that an Elita-1 toy looks like Elita-1. If that debate needs to be had then it's just not a good representation whether or not her head is in the same place in transformation (which wouldn't matter since the Blur in question is a Headmaster).
I don't just want Elita-1, Moonracer, and Firestar represented in my collection. I have those. I want GOOD representations. Better representations that Energon Arcee and MMC's Arcee give me.
Blur as Elita would be a representation. But it wouldn't be a good one.
It's completely unrelated, but Kup made a crappy Orion Pax too. It's forgivable since G1 toys DO require a fair bit of imagination, but they should have taken the effort to give him a new head. New moulds do not get the same leeway 30 year old ones do.

There is plenty of things one could do - but if they make sense is a whole other story.
One of the nice things about Orion Pax is he bares a slight resemblance to the Cybertron mode Optimus Prime from Animated. So he could be sold as a Cybertronian Optimus too - perhaps as a complement to the other non-Earth Mode Titans Return toys.

We can't just keep getting Windblade and Strongarm over and over. Nautica is a nice start (though it came up short), but I don't think a new female character every couple Generations waves is asking too much. I'm guessing the changing of the guard at Hasbro is why the only female figures we've gotten are from the Victorion set (and the upcoming Nautica and Windblade). I think we'll be surprised during Power of the Primes.

Haha, well turns out you were quite right. POTP gave us 3 more fembots and characters we never had before in the Gen line. That adds to Arcee, Chromia and Nautica.
So I will be redoing this list. WHat are obvious characters we dont have updates for yet and that we desperately need. Not much come to mind aside from some of the Beast Era and Snapdragon/Apeface.

I have a spreadsheet that might prove useful. It's a G1-centric one, but it is a pretty big list showing what toy from the original line got how many Generations incarnations, what size, and what line/subline (Classics->PotP).
Would that be of interest?

No suitable Generations toy (aka Scorponok's titan master doesn't count):
Autobots:
Bluestreak, Ratchet - Both were in Universe, but never again
Omega Supreme
Hubcap
Freeway, Rollbar, Searchlight, Wideload
Crosshairs, Pointblank, Sureshot
Punch-Counterpunch
Repugnus
Fizzle, Guzzle, Sizzle
Backstreet, Dogfight, Override
Grand Slam, Raindance
Landfill, Quickmix
Hosehead, Siren
Joyride, Slapdash
Groundbreaker, Sky High, Splashdown, Waverider, Catilla, Chainclaw, Gunrunner
Doubleheader, Longtooth, Pincher, Crossblades, Vroom, Skyhammer
Decepticons:
Reflector (Spectro, Spyglass, Viewfinder)
Barrage, Ransack
Ramjet
Runabout, Runamuck
Slugfest
Apeface, Snapdragon
Scorponok
Flamefeather, Sparkstalker
Nautilator, Overbite, Seawing, Skalor, Snaptrap, Tentakil
Crankcase, Ruckus, Windsweeper
Squawktalk, Beastbox
Needlenose, Spinister
Fangry, Horri-bull, Squeezeplay
Bugly, Finback, Iguanus, Carnivac, Snarler, Roadgrabber
Birdbrain, Bristleback, Icepick, Scowl, Slog, Wildfly
Stranglehold, Roadblock
Bonus List:
Eject, Frenzy (aka Blue Guy), Steeljaw (3 that should have been easy obvious repaints/retools for TR)
Shockwave (still doesn't have a good voyager sized Generations figure)
Flywheels (if only because of the awesomeness of Legends Battletrap Duocons)
Thunderwing (needs to be a Leader size)
Nightbeat as a headmaster deluxe
Now, for my personal top 5 (well actually 7):
1. Tie - Omega Supreme
1. Tie - Scorponok
3. Apeface and Snapdragon
4. Seacons - I think there is a chance for this to be a boxset this year, but I am not holding my
breath.
5. Ratchet, Bluestreak, and Sideswipe - Finishing off the 84/85 cars in Generations. Classics and Universe had figures, but Generations never did.
6. Greenlight and Lancer - Finish off the female team.
7. Repugnus - Finish out the Monsterbots in Deluxe fashion. I am actually anticipating this to happen this year. This would be higher up, but the leaked distributor info makes me believe this no longer needs to be that high up.

mordhelm, I think a lot of people consider Classics, Universe, and Generations (plus offshoots like Reveal the Shield) all different names for the same line, hence the term "CHUG", and don't have any problems mixing them. And what about exclusives using CHUG molds intended to fill gaps in Generations like many of the Subscription Service releases which takes a bunch of figures out of the list.

The Predators and Turbomasters.
The majority of them can be done utilising existing figures with or without remoulding.

I can't bring myself to consider Subscription Service figures or FunPub figures. The price for them is so unreasonable. I might as well buy 3rd party at the prices they were offered. My rule is pretty much Hasbro released toys for those figures.
I stray outside for Takara releases, (for instance UW Computron), but the price is still very near to the price I pay for similar sized Hasbro released figures.
