The last I saw indicated Thundercracker was due out September-October with Prime to follow in November-December. If Thundercracker moved up will Prime do the same?
I thought Prime was supposed to come out first and I heard late August.

Please make it so!

They had the most demand that they've ever had & as I'd said, the people waited in line 3-4 hrs. for the "time to go" tickets and STILL did not get in.
It's your choice to get your figures graded - even at a premium. Just as I passed on the BS "premium" price of the SDCC FOC Bruticus.
Lastly -please show me the TRU where MP Grimlock and or Rodimus went on clearance. What did they cost? Need to see that to believe it. The other big box retailers clearance much more frequently than TRU - so the frustration/bitterness is toward TRU for not following suit. Example: SW EPIII figures being clearanced finally after 2 yrs.
Let me simplify this: I have no love for either company. Nor do I have love for SDCC. Especially since Anime Expo in 2007 was better organized and cheaper than SDCC. So when it comes to me, lets say I am completely neutral on the subject.
So with SDCC version, its price is based on the following elements: The regular price + the additional cost to cover their SDCC booth costs. And with SDCC, I have read that their booth spaces are overpriced for what they are. So since they want to be there, they need to cover that and still make money.
Then again... Your complaint is part of the many issues tied to SDCC, and not just Hasbro. Plus, I heard other stories that make that issue sound mild.
As for Toys"R"Us, I used to work at the one closest to me. And from what I was told, your beef is not their fault. Blame their higher ups. But, then again, I stopped buying TFs because the last two I bought had the same QC issues, and both were different lines. That, and I find these stores to be uninspiring and make shopping online a better option.
But with the attitude towards the price and company, let me say that it is a poor move to obsess, much less get angry over such things. If the price is greater than your need, move on and allow somebody who feels differently buy it. You are the potential buyer, not a owner of the company. And when it comes to the things you collect, it should be about why you want it... Not why you skipped something you did not want because of its price.
In other words - Skip the talks of how they price their stuff, and enjoy what you do have. If you disagree with the price, then do not buy it. Just say that the price did not justify your need, and allow others to do business with them. And I say this because you are souring your time hating something you know nothing about, opposed to just using that time planning and creating a collection that says "This is me. This is what I like."
And if you cannot do that because Hasbro had a justifiable reason you do not know, then you might as well try to find something that will support your emotional and physical health... As they say that nothing is worth bitching about.

Seibertron member That Bot spotted the figure's shelf tag at a Toys"R"Us location in Buford, GA. The figure is scheduled to release in October, but this is a good indication the figure's release is imminent.

Can anyone help out with the actual SKN so my local toys r us can order it for me through another store?
Thanks!
