Quite often Hook is the leader of the Constructicons, mainly because he forms the upper torso (although in a lot of continuities the Constructicons are depicted as not having a clear "leader"). Secondly, I find it ironic that you consider these so much worse than the FP versions in spite of your insane devotion the G1 cartoon accuracy, and these most certainly being more G1 accurate. Or are you saying "G1 accuracy is the most important thing ever except when it isn't!"? At least try and maintain some form of consistency. I mean, I prefer the FP Dinobots too (although I certainly don't think these look bad and I think the combined mode is going to look beastly) but seeing as you consistently hold G1 accuracy above all else it seems a bit odd for you to suddenly start complaing about the aesthetics of figures that are essentially the G1 characters.

Delta Magnus wrote:...Dude, the ToyWorld versions are unquestionably more cartoon accurate. The cartoon models didn't stray that far from the toys anyway (beyond reducing the amount of surface detail and giving Swoop the wrong colours of course). Aside from the legs in the robot mode "wings" ToyWorld Sludge is much more cartoon accurate than Columpio (who has a totally different aesthetic, lacks the back-wings, has a segmented neck instead of the "smooth" neck)...
Like I say, I actually prefer the FP Dinobots, but it has nothing to do with G1 accuracy. In fact I like them BECAUSE they stray from the original designs a bit. But if you honestly want cartoon accuracy, quite frankly the TW figures are better.
Of course, if you really want to have perfect G1 scale/details then I'm afraid you're going to have to bite the bullet and start an MP collection. If you want CHUG scale you'll have to settle for divergences from the cartoon, and if you want perfect cartoon scale/details you'll have to accept the larger scale.
