So Roar is sitting in my Pile of Loot. This will be my first venture into 3P. Wish me luck y'all.

Combined mode is blowing my mind a little!

Noop (not-swoop) looks good. Doesn't really bother me that dino mode is frumpy. It's got a G1y vibe I'm digging. Boy, this whole set cuts it real close to the OG crew. Aesthetically speaking.

I was looking at the Nottle bots combiner and didn't really like that the combiner head and shoulders were a separate piece, Looks like the dino-combino worked it out to be part of the torso.

I wonder if these arm bots are a smaller than the leg bots?

the week after I buy the FP swoop... god damn this always happens.. like the FP swoop reveal happened right after I brought the Planet X swoop.... my luck is terrible with swoopsssss. arggg!!! :sad:

I just am not into this set.

I was hoping their Swoop would wow me, because I'm not 100% into the FP or PX versions either.

It doesn't.

Well, Swoop was bound to be the worst one. Not only does it have to be all boxy and G1 like, it also has top be a beefy arm.

The best Swoop in both modes is probably Animated Swoop.

I do really like that swoop.

My current classics Swoop is the TFA version with a wing-ectemy from a G1 Swoop.
It looks really good, but the aesthetic is pretty far removed from PX or FP to stand with those guys.

That Grimlock is increasingly tempting.

So tempting that I might not care what Fansproject does... Hrm...

But combined mode is not for me. I've always disliked the idea of the Dinobots combining and this does nothing to change my mind.

Well, I bought Roar. This will be my first foray into Third Parties, but I am really digging Toy World's Aesthetic with these guys. Can't wait for him to get here.

Mel, this was also my first foray into 3P. I made my decision based mostly on aesthetic too, which can be a very risky move. Aside from the odd placement of his hip swivel joint, I have no complaints. Good luck! Come back and tell us what you think when he arrives. ;)^

I got Roar and here's a crappy small webcam picture of him on my messy desk.

I really dig him. His feet are a little finicky; getting him to stand is harder than it should, but mostly he is awesome.
