Total pass. Instead of making it a cool diaclone repaint, they just made it black for the sake of being black. It looks like a damn test shot.

Gun Megatron was initially in the Microman Microchange toy line not Diaclone. Their was a black repaint released for microchange gun megatron. Takara even did TF Reissue gun Megatron in Black.

Yeah you right about the microman part. But those versions were a nice black tinted silver color with a brown handle. All you get here is plain boring black plastic that only a prototype collector could appreciate.

I put in a preorder on this sight unseen which is very odd for me... I guess we'll see if I end up with buyer's remorse.

I just clicked on the link. Why does X2otoys.com have a preorder for $270 for hegemon in his first release initial colors. Ebay probably has a better lower deal than this $270 price.

I just clicked on the link. Why does X2otoys.com have a preorder for $270 for hegemon in his first release initial colors. Ebay probably has a better lower deal than this $270 price.

Who knows ? this is the first iv'e seen of the re release , no doubt hegemon will be hitting other sites soon enough .

Then we will have to see what the final version looks like. Its very unusual for TFSource to make their own digibash. I believe the image came from Toyworld and the official version wont be much different. Just my opinion.

It's 270 MYR, not $270 USD. At the promotional rate and USD exchange, it equates to $82.50. That's a damn good price.

It's 270 Chinese Yuan, not US Dollars. They're running a promotion for 250 Yuan, which is something like $40. With shipping it looks like it'll be $70-$75 total. That's a good deal.

im torn. i like my united megatron and hes just fine for my generations shelf. i kinda want hegemon just for the mace/flail. and getting another crack at him for retail price is something ill kick myself for if i dont take advantage of it.

lame. to me that's like optimus without a trailer or roller. i can be ok with it but not when there is a version with the whole package. probably will try to wait for a good price on ebay rather than take the neutered megs...

Toyworld has confirmed to us again in the last couple hours that the original Hegemon colors are NOT being reissued. "Black" version only, which will probably not be ENTIRELY black, pics are supposed to be ready soon.

Apparently several places are making some kind of mistake. Toyworld has stated outright that they have no idea why stores are listing a reissue.

Right.. So TW-01 will be reissued but not in the exact same colour as the original Hegemon (Apparently TW are splitting hairs over what a reissue is)

This is the new version which is a much lighter grey to the originals darker silver look (shame they didn't get that crease out the chest )

So if they ever actually do a black repaint, they're going to call it Hegemon White version?
