I don't think we ever said that, because, well... it's not true. Where did you read that?

For Transformers 2 to come out in 2008, they would need to have already filmed it, and be in post-production by now... so, unless Bay and co. have super-human powers and have filmed an entire movie in less than a few weeks, I doubt that's happening...

Tf2 has to be at least in summer '09, or possibly 2010

Transformers was planned to be GI Jo in the beginning, that's why they went to Hasbro, but cos of 9.11, they desided that a war film wold not be aprophiat (damned spelling!)!
So maybe you mixed that up and got confused?

If it does happen (which is highly unlikely), the film has to cover the origin of G.I. Joe, Cobra, while advancing the storyline of Transformers and introducing more TFs. And that doesn't seem to be a good idea, as it's going to be too messy. And what storyline are they gonna use if they film such a crossover? Megatron trying numerous times to slag the Joes and failing everytime?

In other words, this is extremely unlikely. For the next 4 or 5 years anyway.

Even if they rush through it, I can tell you now. Given the fact that we are almost September, and nothing even official has been announced regarding writers, producers or directors, it would be IMPOSSIBLE - not unlikely, IMPOSSIBLE - for Transformers 2 would come out next year. Post-production alone, especially with the amount of CGI they have to do, would take about 8-10 months, and they haven't even started FILMING yet!

Besides, if the movie came out next year, Hasbro wouldn't have planned Animated to go on for 2 years, with the new Classics/Universe starting in the fall of next year.
