Haha, I've seen this several times before, but it's still funny. She wasn't seriously hurt from what I had read. Isn't that something that even Zed from the Police Academy cartoon had said? "Cheaters never prosper!"

Her coworkers definitely were trying not to laugh, which is understandable, as it's funny, but they didn't know if she was hurt. Hell, she could've snapped a rib.

the situation itself was funny. she told the girl "stop" then started going again (cheating) then the girl saw what she was doing, and started again. apparently the anchor was surprised by her, and fell of the stage. all that happened as a result of her own actions.

the injuries are not so funny. from what i've read, she broke a few ribs, hence the "can't breathe!". BTW, this is happened about seven years ago.

So a woman falls down and breaks a few ribs. She can't breathe, she makes a very disturbing gurgling noise because her ribs are broken.

And some dick makes a "techno remix" of her gurgles and cries for help.

And people laugh and say it's brilliant.

You have a point, Dark Zarak.

Why we find humor in other's misfortune is a mystery. I can't say that I don't laugh at it. Hell, look at America's Funniest Home Videos--it's got a lot of mishaps and people falling. I've had a few myself and while it hurt like hell every time, I laughed at myself. Hopefully this woman was ok enough to laugh as well...

The whole point of humor is A) to make someone realize someone is more screwed than they are, or B) think that the comedian understands how screwed they are.

Summer of 2005 I was riding my bike home from looking for a job at Office Depot which I did not get. I ride across the cross-walk, raising my left hand to wave a thanks at someone who stopped.

And my right hand pushes the handlebars all the way over and I fly right over the wheel onto the pavement. Face first. In the middle of the street. Holding up the green light.

I could have sworn I'd broken a tooth. There was blood on the asphalt. My face is throbbing. But I get up and move across the street. The lady who stopped is still sitting there mid turn watching me. I just wait to see if there's any more blood coming out. Nothing is, and she eventually moves on. It was the corner of Wimbeldon and Winchester in Los Gatos California, and I will never forget that spot.

And I still hope that somewhere out there is a video of "some moron flips off his bike in the middle of the street" on Youtube. I would laugh my ass off.

Because I didn't get hurt. My tooth wasn't even cracked (since I eat so many dairy products). But if I'd been screaming in the street, and some asshole make a remix out of it, I'd want to track him down and smack his face with a brick.
