Yeah that is the part that surprises me most of all is your country not having it available on CD or MP3 download. I guess it is just a case of the people who own the rights to the music in the United States refusing to release it to the fans for whatever reason. Probably money. They probably want an exorbitant amount and I can understand if that is the case then record labels aren't going to waste there money and time paying that huge amount if they aren't going to make a killing on the sale of CD's or online store downloads. It would be like making a movie and putting more money into it than it would make in theaters if it bombed. But even so though I would imagine it would sell pretty well in your country though since even though there are a ton of fans in the US there are a hell of alot more in Japan. Maybe someday it will get a release even if it is a Japanese exclusive. And even so people from outside of Japan like myself who want it could always just ordered it from Amazon Japan or some other online Japanese retailer. Gotta love the world wide
web since it would have been alot harder back in the 80's. As far as them wanting so much that is probably part of the reason why Japanese exclusive seasons like Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory never featured any recycled US seasons music in them. Probably weren't aloud to because of the copy right holders saying no. They probably just made an exception in the case of Scramble City. But of course I could be totally wrong about that two since I have nothing to base that off of. Could just be a case of them wanting to make there own original music for the Japanese episodes to make them more unique and stand out from the US episodes. The way I see it someday they will release the US G1 episodes music to us Transformer fans even if it is limited to so many copies. Hell there were movie scores like I said that I thought would never see the day of being available on CD like the first six Friday The 13th film scores and sure enough a few years ago they released a limited edition boxset of them and the same with the first Die Hard movie score. So we fans should just be optimistic and figure it will happen someday. Some record label will obtain the distribution rights to sell the Transformer G1 Seasons 1 to 4 scores and we can have them for our listening pleasure.
