I thought I heard that they tried to get Frank Welker and he turned them down. I'm sure Starscream will be in 2nd one. You'll see when you see the movie. I saw it the 28th, and it was awesome. Plan to go see it when it's offically out. I hope the 2nd one is just as good!!

I think the movie really squeezed the whole tranformer story.. many scenes were un-neccessary and not funny at all.
Overall tho, I liked the fighting scenes and am wondering how is there gonna a sequel if Megatron is dead in this one?
they should have him fled the Earth and waiting to come back with a vengence!!

My older brother and I were talking about what they should do for the second film based on what I know of the plot and such:

Starscream goes off planet after Magatron and the Allspark are destroyed right? Well the Allspark's gone and with it any hopes of rebuilding Cybertron for the D-Cons or A-Bots. So what's the next best thing? Gather an army and take over Earth!

There will most certainly be a second. Didnt prime still have a chunk of the all spark? Starscream will be back and with an army to boot. Megatron will be revived against the orders of Starscream somehow. The Autobots will awnser the call of prime, just how Bumblebee guided them to earth in the first. Scorponok is still alive also...
The sequel knowing Bay will leave off from the first in which the Autobots will be preparing for a cons invasion. It will be more focused on the cons I rekon, to much hype was on the autobots in T1. The sequal will deffinetly have alot more drama and more bot on bot action.
Bay and Speilberg have left alot open for a sequel and I'm sure will take full advantage of it. They now have alot to go off.
It's not a question of how the earnings of the fisrt end up because its Transformers plain and simple and the whole production cast already knew it would make a killing thus why they left it open for more TF movies to come.
I seen it opening night in Sydney and while walking out all anyone was talking about was 'omg there is gonna be a 2nd'.
Bays stamped his mark, and number 2 will be bigger and better. Cant Wait!

I heard on a NZL radio station that there has been greenlit two more movies... regardless if that's blatant lies or not,... whoops, almost dropped a spoiler!
My plan is to wait for the DVD, then watch the DVD movie everyday until the new movie comes out... actually, that probably won't work since I"ll have a job and be all grown up in the next year.

Yeh, I really want to see this movie, now that I have seen how good Tranformers 1 is when I went to see it on Friday. It blew me away. There hopefully will be a bigger war, and maybe they will add even cooler Transformations. I hope they keep Ratchet, Bumblebee, Ironhide in it though... they were so good the story wouldn't fit if it wasn't with them.

Its a movie. It has robots that transform into cars and other such things. Therefore, a Transformers' movie.

I think the Transformers movie wasn't fake apart from Transforming and how there were actually Transformers, but without that there would be no Transformers Movie. Other then that... the movie was very realistic, I mean they wouldn't just make a big robot die by a rocket launcher that is stupid. Humans wouldn't need Autobots then.

Amazing news. Hope that the Constructicons and the Dinobots will make appearances as was rumoured.

Now that the Autobots live on Earth at the end of the movie this sets the stage for the Dinobots to be created. Maybe Galvatron will be resurrected from Megatron's remains from the Ariana shelf.
