part II HAS to have the Dinobots. They are too big a draw (especially Grimlock) to not include in a sequel.

For the sequels I hope there will be a better characterization for the Decepticon.

I would have to say these characters would get top consideration for the sequel:

1. Shockwave
2. Dinobots
3. Constructicons
4. Soundwave & Blaster (with cassettes)

I can already see a teaser featuring the Constructicons. Just like the Mars Mission Teaser, they should be in a construction site and then you see a human witness the merging to Devestator (assuming Devestator name for Brawl is a mistake) and we only see the shadow and then we see the Autobot/Decepticon logos and the date.

Michael Bay's idea about a Transforming aircraft carrier could be pretty cool too. As much as I'd love to see the Constructicons and the Dinobots I'd say he did a good enough job with this one to give him the benefit of the doubt ; )

Since there are no cassette players/tapes anymore, I think that it wouldn't be possible to bring in Soundwave in original form.

He'd need another device for him and his entourage to transform into.

that is true. they could just make him have a cd player or something. but then again..they probly dont want to use the same idea (partly) from frenzy.

I like the (possibly fan made) images of Soundwave as a Hummer style vehicle, maybe some kind of surveillance vehicle. They could then include Rumble, Frenzy, Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage & Ratbat (maybe not all XD) as various stealth/surveillance machines, such as Frenzy's CD player mode in Movie one.

Ideas could include CD players, TV's, Laptops, Palmtops (too small?), video recorders, cameras, etc, small things that almost everyone takes advantage of having & no one notices. Perfect disguise.

i like that idea, but i dont think it will be a hummer since ratchet is already. but a surveillance vehicle could work.

Maybe the image I saw was a tweeked Ratchet picture, but you know what I mean, just some big vehicle with lots of room in the back. It would be really nice to see.

Well, considering how the movie ended, it sets up for a sequel.
Trilogies are the popular thing now, that and prequels....
I can't wait to see what they do with Transformers 2.

Devastator wa sin this one he was the tank....yeah dumb. Maybe the new movie will have the robots witha more refined look instead of exposed parts and whatnot hanging all over the place.....I can only dream.

I'm gonna chime in with my 2 cents now. The movie was really good. I loved it and I can't wait to see it again. I'm gonna buy the DVD with all the extras too. I hope for TF2 that they bring in the Constructicons and the dinobots. I'd also like to see Soundwave as a news van or cable truck or phone company truck with Rumble and company being the various equipment that goes with that kind of disguise. I'd also would love to see Mirage, Hound and Prowl in it too.

Soundwave could be Mobile Remote sattelite truck or possibly a Small 2 ton box truck carrying a PA system for a concert. Big Speakers, mixer boards, Sub Woofers... Might work :grin:

I would love to see Soundwave in the sequel myself, but from reading the prequel novel (Where you get much better character developement in my opinion), Barricade struck me as the Soundwave-type of character. Loyal to Megatron. Obeys Starscream because of chain of command only. Combine that with Frenzy being partnered with him and, if I'm not mistaken, loading the stolen files to him after leaving Air Force One. My opinion only.

Well, I assume that Broadside will be in TF2. Bay has stated that we would like an aircraft carrier, and Broadside would fit this form.

Another thought is astrotrain takes this shape, but that would mean he would massive in robot form.
