I say it's Macerator. In all seriousness, though, the Stunticons could've worked in this plot, pretending to be new Autobots but secretly causing chaos and destruction behind their backs to stir up anti-TF sentiment. They did this in G1 (can't remember the exact episode title), and there's the loose connection of the Autobots having posed as the Stunticons in one ep, so why couldn't it be the reverse here? There's also the parallel between this and the Decepticons in RiD. They, too, posed as Autobots to help "clean up" the city. Just because we've seen them riding alongside the Autobots doesn't necessarily mean they're the good guys. The only thing that doesn't make sense, though, is the combiner factor. As others have said, there's nowhere near enough destruction for a combiner battle to have taken place. The only explanation could be that Devastator really didn't do much damage, either - sure, he scaled a pyramid and sucked up a dry lot, but did he really do anything else? Granted, in a closed city like Chicago, that would be a whole different matter. But there's that looming crane shot over the rubble and the huge blue Motormaster-esque foot, so who really knows at this point. All I know is that the Nascar cars (and this big mother as well) don't look like traditional Autobots to me. They look built, which the Stunticons were. And all that killer firepower? Even Ironhide doesn't have that kind of braggadocio - his weapons are clean and tidy, tucked-in. These look like fast, grimy killing machines. Stunticons in disguise, anyone?

I give up. Logic clearly has no place here.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

The blue CGI stand in 'foot' is very impressive to say the least.
I spend a lot of time around machinery and I can tell you that the segments of it we presume to be wheels are too big for a semi and too small for something like Long Haul.
I've checked out the pics and they are a close match for the fire truck we saw earlier with the autobot symbol on the door.
I don't know much, but that is one thing I'm sure of.

Its also a strong possibility that "Wreckers" might be a code name for them on set. Just a thought.

If this is shockwave, the cannon part could be easily concealed in the tanker part of the truck, have the cloth covering open up and out comes the cannon to be used in vehicle mode. This thing is mean enough to look the part, has anyone thought this maybe this is megatron's new alt mode its def got the menacing look down, and he was pretty tore up at the end of ROTF. Is it likely this is shockwave I doubt it, but with Bay you never can tell.

I highly, highly doubt that this is seriously Shockwave's alt. For one, Bay wouldn't dare go there, not after teasing fans with the purple head-on-a-stick. I'm betting on it being either Motormaster (grimy enough to fit in with the other "Wreckers"), Wreck-Gar or a similar unnamed Junkion (hell, Bay might actually use the name "Junkion" for all we know), a crude-looking Decepticon garbage brawler like Macerator from The Veiled Threat (or an evil version of Towline from RiD), or a human TF-hunting vehicle. Honestly, if Motormaster were used I'd much rather see him in the familiar black and purple, but as long as he's a big mean tanker like this, I suppose I'll be satisfied. Of course, there might be some trouble with that particular color scheme, given its similarity to the Nemesis Prime/Scourge character. He won't be in it, though.

or some evil clone of OP. Here's my reasoning:
1. This guy and Primes cab/truck things are very similar, but the new guy's cab is more evil
2. In RID, Scourge carried around a oil/gas trailer thing that turned into a base...OP has a trailer now so it's possible.

Either that...or Onslaught, Tankor, or even an entirely new character

whoever it is, they better make a toy, because that would be awesome

Actually, the cab is extremely different from Prime's. They are completely different models of truck. I do agree that Hasbro should make a toy of this if it turns out to be a TF in the movie.

Very good point.

At any rate, I am of the position that this is not a "human resistance" vehicle." Humans know they need something like NEST. They can't use a tricked out truck like this or anything similar. They need Autobots and highly specialized operatives to attack Transformers. A truck like this would be cremated immediately by a Transformer no matter how rigged it was.

If it were Wreck-Gar i would be so stoked,
could conceptually be Kup, think i would be a little disappointed.
If it were Magnus i would have some mixed feelings for sure....
so im crossing my fingers for a Nemesis Prime / Scourge

but hell, i think it is a combiner, because the front of the truck has giant bayformer chicken toes on the front!

I noticed that as well, but without those it would make a nice Decepticon.

i say yes to the combinders because they choose to film in the biggest(more open) part of down town with the river. of course they would still need to be kinda small. isnt the building being lifted off the ground in chicago? if it is then they would have to have combinders!
