Maybe towards the end they'll reveal at least 1 or 2 Predacons.Silver Wind wrote:Going by what's been said about the movie both before and after release, this is one I'm definitely passing on. Right. That's why I said maybe a couple of them get revealed somehow at the end, as a setup for the next movie, which *crosses fingers* will be all about Beast Wars. Wishful thinking, I'm sure.william-james88 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah, I with you. Regardless of the main plot and other characters, I don't have a good feeling about the Maximals. The only predacons are a horde of robot scorpions. They aren't an actual faction in this film.

N.E.S.T. doesn't form until the 2000s. This movie is set in the '90s.griftimus prime wrote:why have gi joe when they have nest? what a trainwreck

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Maybe if they included Transformers from the start, since the 2007 movie was critically and financially successful, the 2013 Joe movie could have been a crossover of sorts, off the heels of DoTM's big success.Munkky wrote:william-james88 wrote:- The end credit scene is a hint to a future crossover between Transformers and GI Joe
Because Hasbro and Paramount's last few attempts to revive GI Joe worked sooooo well, didn't they?

And yet the Director says Reboot. "reboot for sure," is something that can't mean anything else.
So frankly it's conflicting information because Lorenzo so desperately wants it to not be, so ultimately we seem to be in a strange middle ground.
But we'll see what happens with the next film or in future news stories, it depends who's staying on board for future films.

Fingers crossed for a new director and actually finishing the story started in The Last Knight.Sabrblade wrote:And there remains the possibility that he may end up not being the director of the next live-action movie to come after ROTB, and that new director could choose to spin things closer to the continuity (soup) of the Bay movies.

I think that is indeed the reason. They have this IP that hasn't worked in the past so maybe attaching it to TF is the way to finally get everyone excited about it.
Deadput wrote:For sure but it's just another piece that doesn't confirm it one way or another, can't say it's either a reboot or not with 100 percent certainty so saying "officially confirmed not a reboot" is just as uncertain especially in an interview/livestream where some people in it seemed actually stoned.
Really says something when the directors of both Bumblebee and ROTB approach the film with a reboot like mind despite the producer doing literally anything he can to keep it not as a reboot.
Regardless of it all just can't stand Lorenzo as far as being a producer goes and not just in regards to his involvement in Transformers films, no faith in the Transformers x Gi-Joe idea considering Snake Eyes.
Thanks to Guidi. My favorite TF artist followed by Andrew Wildman.Quantum Surge wrote:For kids books, they have better artwork than most comic books today do.
