I personally don't mind the chrome; I think the main complaint has to do with it appearing like a simplified shell-former or the robot body not utilizing any of the cab parts in bot mode.
GuyIncognito wrote:The chrome is one of the few things (along with the alt mode) that I actually like about this figure. It's the rest that sucks. It's not even a shell-former. It's a robot wearing a truck.

The chrome everywhere's a little annoying, so I'll wait for the retail release.
And I told you all that bitch could articulate somethin' fierce.

Intah-wib-buls?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Megatron Wolf wrote:putting them side by side was probably the worst thing anyone could've done, its just show how crappy this prime is. And just remember the main release is going to be worse cause there wont be any chrome just cheap looking plastic. And for all of you saying "i hope these sell well cause then we'll get better gerenations figures" you obviously dont have a clue how hasbro works, you really think they are going to pass the wealth onto us? When has hasbro ever given us something for nothing? Generations were the first ones to jump to $15 then when the plastic quality & size dropped the price stayed the same. If these sell well then they are going to think "oh this is what everyone wants" & keep making figures like this then its just going to get worse. All you need to do is look at the last 3 main lines of figures to see this trend already happening. The trick is for these not to sell so hasbro has to rethink things again.

I second that, don't know where all the hate is coming from.
noctorro wrote:You want complicated TF's, go buy ROTF Leader Prime, or HFTD Battle Blades Prime.
noctorro wrote:You want more G1 likeness, go buy Masterpiece or Generations.
noctorro wrote:Very true Jones.
But to be honest, ROTF figures were out of balance as well.
noctorro wrote:I think the current Generations line and FOC line are a good mix between transformation complexity and overall design.
noctorro wrote:I'm especially curious about the new faces, they look more human like in the G1 cartoon. No more bug faces I think.
