This now is a Leader Class, if you compare with the previous pic, the sword is different and the shield is different at this time. The previous is simple this one has more details. That one is a Leader and the previous for sure is a voyager.

I'm thinking that might have been a prototype of some sort and this is the actual figure that's going to be released as the Leader class.

Following the recent news of the Age of Extinction figure solicitations, we have a small in-hand image of the seen-before Optimus Prime in truck mode, courtesy of 11-11 of ACToys. Though it is yet unclear whether this is the Voyager or Leader class figure, we can spot some differences with previous images, making it closer to the latest we saw: the shield is a very different shape, with added transparent parts; there is still some chrome, but some of the parts have been replaced with a less metallic colour. Can you spot any more? Check out the images below!

To be blunt and honest, the shield looks stupid and in fact doesn't really look like a shield at all.

Not bad, not bad at all. I was a little concerned about Hasbro usage of paint and by the looks of this they might not be cheap with their paint app's for this line. That truck mode looks good, imo. But I think I see a blue side window.

After looking closer, I think these are pics of two different size class Optimus primes. Look at the shields, one is round like the CGI pics and one is a sheild gun. Either way, I'm looking forward mostly for the super coupes.

These two physical copies look radically different. Just little things like the crotch armor, the weapons, the kibble. Either these are different toys, or the chrome one is a REALLY early prototype, or the stock photographers have topped their already impressive portfolio of mistransformation. We've frequently had different sized Optimuses before, so this might just be a voyager with a similar transformation. It also might be the case that we get a 'First Edition' sort of deal, with some AOE toys popping up in Thrilling 30. And then the main molds appear in a unique toyline.

Its a combination of two things: 1) Prime didnt have flames in G1 and 2) many people feel like flames aresomething that a younger, more reckless autobot would wear, like a tattoo or a piercing, and they feel that Optimus Prime would not wear aomething flashy like that. ( Have nothing against tats or piercings, its an example.)

I really hope that this is Voyager class because if it's a Leader class than Leader class is going to hell !
Not even close to quality of previous Leader class figures.

haha! good point, but that's more a badge of office, or a military branch insignia. In some continuities the Rite Of Autobrand has to be completed before a Transformer is supposed to be allowed to wear the symbol.

I still don't like what I see and it's an easy pass, but I will at least take a more detailed look in store, if Hasbro manages to get enough out there.

There is just nothing to surpass my Jetwing Prime with his Annular trailer, and he still remains my only movieformer.

Think I'll save the money for MP's and 3rd Parties this year. The Dinos and all the others would REALLY have to wow me, and I don't think Hasbro cares anymore with their ever-shrinking toys these days.

I agree with Maximal, the flames never suited Optimus. They said it was to break up the colours on him, but I don't buy that - he was red and blue in TF: Prime without flames and looked perfectly respectable. His character has always been more of a strong, firm-yet-soft-spoken and humble leader. He doesn't wear flames to make himself look cool because, in his mind, he isn't. He thinks of himself as just another Autobot, nothing special, and at best a useful cog in a larger machine, leading by example and inspiring others... NOT by painting himself with flames and essentially saying "Hey, look at how awesome I am!" - something I would associate more with an a-hole like Hot Rod/Rodimus, a character that has always been imbued with a more "smug and youthful" personality. Optimus has always been more of a wise older brother, not the inexperienced, headstrong youth (which is how the flames come across, in my opinion at least). Even his voice, provided by the great P.C., signifies a more mature, reserved personality. With that in mind, I wouldn't consider Autobrand as a showy gang sign either... Simply a statement of his allegiance, with its history as the symbol of hope, strength, integrity and honor of the Transformers who preceded him.
