About the hair on the robots faces, I don`t complain because in G1 we had Wreck-Gar with mustache and Alphatryon with beard and mustache, So why complaining about Bay`s robots hairs?

There's a big difference between painted on stache's and actual grown robot metal hairs.
It's absurd. Just like making lead foot fat. It's just a way of using Stereotyping that's not needed
If someone actually wrote a good story.

But neither Scourge nor Wreck-Gar nor any of the other G1 bots with facial hair had theirs merely painted on, their beards and 'staches were separate metal plates. Alpha Trion's even grew longer and whiter with age.

In 1984, Alpha Trion's and Wreck Gar's hair were three pieces and sort of complimented them. Those were cartoons for kids, not a multi-billion movie series. It was still silly to have hair on them back then. This does not translate well onto these movie figures, it is plain ridiculous. One more way to poke fun at them and make them look hidious from this team.

These look like Deluxe size to me, based on the thickness and size of the parts.
These are either the new Deluxe Class or the return of the FABs: The Fast Action Battlers.
They kinda look OK, both "Hound" and "Strafe" look like they could be decent figures if given better treatment.
Which is just dumb, why bother making five Dinobots, and then replacing the flying one with a two-headed dragon thing as a homage to a jet based character?
What, is a one headed Pterosaur too unbelievable for audiences to accept?

I think we're getting much more than five Dinobots this time around.Dead Metal wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Strafe makes sense in a way since G1 Strafe was a twin-headed jet and this is essentially the dinobot equivalent of such.

Based on the previous toy listings, it sounds to me like the Dinobots will consist this time of Grimlock, Slug, Slash, Scorn, Strafe, Snarl, Swoop, and perhaps even more.

I'm willing to bet that these are the replacement for FAB. The transformations look as if they could be almost automated (pop outification). Hound seems to have his sides flip outwards, which gives the inside out look. Bee has the weird feet fascia thing going on. Not sure about Strafe, doesn't seem too "springy" to me, but I still reckon that's what these are.
However the fact that these are named "Power Attackers" implies that they are something other than Deluxe or Cyberverse.

I believe that the "Power Attackers" are going to be the new Cyberverse. These toys look too simple for Deluxe models and even FAB. Bumblebee looks like all his other legends/legion class incarnations; Hound looks to have the similar build too Commander class Sentinel Prime, and Strafe reminds me of the recent Predacon Windrazor legion class only maybe bigger, possibly Commander Class.

Grizzly Adams Syndrome...GAWD
Well that sucks. This confirms that Hound will have that stupid Grizzly Adams beard and a Cigar in the movie. I think it will be a little silly but knew it was coming from the pic posted ages ago of plausible Hound's head on a stick during production. I thought we would have learned from Sentinel and Leadfoot.
Alas...Bayverse knows all...rules all...takes responsibility for nothing.

a. I don't see how this blurry pic confirms anything.
b. I don't see how robots with beards and cigars are any sillier than talking alien robots that transform into cars and planes. Should we go back to 1984 and list all the ridiculous things that have appeared in TF cartoons and comics? I think beards and cigars will be minor in comparison. We can start here:

Should we talk about the time the TFs were toys in the bedroom of a giant alien child? Or the time Powerglide rode a carousel? Or the time Hoist went to Hollywood to become a movie actor? When has Transformers NOT had silly stuff in it?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to make the connection between his look and that of the Pretender figures. It was the first thing to come to mind.
Regardless of size and complexity I'm tempted to get the figure based off of these early pics but I may still have to see one in hand before making the final decision. I have a sub-collection going of assault style/military TF figures and while this one may be quite simplified compared to the rest of the figures I have, he may still fit in well with the display I have going.
So far, Hound (and the 67 Camaro 'Bee) is the only thing remotely intriguing to me about the new movie but I'm still waiting to see if they come up with figures for the black off-road/rally cars that we saw early on in the behind the scenes photos. If they come out with those and they are done decently then I'll jump on them too.

Those things jutting out below their mouths are their chins.

Compared to Jetfire's, Sentinel's, and Leadfoot's more obvious beards:

Which are awesome, btw.

Personally, I find it far stranger that robots that don't need to breathe (they go into space and the bottom of the ocean and all) give the occasional gasp or visible breath or some other hint that they're breathing.
