Yup.

But it would most likely be part of a 2 pack or a 3 pack, exclusive to Amazon or whatnot. I wonder who his box partner(s) would be? :-?

They could do like the did with the Puffer/Road Ranger two pack, and give two versions of the same mold. Bad Boy and Viper.

Oh yeah, Viper. I can see that happening. ;)^

I'm wondering about that as well. And it makes me worry that Bruticus might not be as 'stable' on his feet as Menasor or Superion. The skeleton system seemed to work well in terms of making them poseable, and stable.

It does raise the question of whether Swindle will be a voyager too. Vortex and Blastoff as deluxe sized arms makes sense in terms of scale. But unless Swindle is a voyager as well, then Bruticus will have a very lopsided right leg.

Or do they have a partial setup in mind? With Swindle being a deluxe, but the right leg being set up to use the skeleton system? And the left leg/Brawl set up so that the Onslaught portions end at the thigh, and then Brawl takes over completely from the knee joint down? Unless the upcoming voyager Brawl has a VERY stable foot setup, ankle pivot, and knee connection? The new Bruticus could wind up being a floppy mess just like CW Bruticus was.

And how will the arms be set up? Superion and Menasor's arms 'worked' with the skeleton system because the animation models kind of depicted them that way. But Bruticus' animation model didn't look like his limb portions were attached to boxes which extended from the voyager core, they seemed to integrate a lot better as separate limbs. If Blastoff and Vortex use the skeleton system to attach to Onslaught, they'd have to do something to better disguise it.

Weapon: Galaxial Rocket Launcher
I wonder if Onslaught will form the torso with arm skeleton for Vortex and Blast of to mount up, with just the upper thigh? Then voyager Brawl and Swindle could have a skeleton piece with their foot in their native colour, like the cartoon, which they mount on and connect yo the thighs on Onslaught?

Just spitballing a theory.

I assume Brawl is a voyager because he includes extra parts for Bruticus. Likewise for Swindle.

The thigh section and foot panel for combined mode would be by guess. While Vortex and Blastoff don't include anything extra. The fist and arms are probably included with Onslaught.

My guess is that Swindle & Brawl will have a little extra with parts (and engineering) that will extend to connect to Bruticus’s knee joints. And depending on which of those two is the more complex figure, the other will be packaged with Bruticus’s gun, just like Scrapper has Devy’s gun. Mixmaster must be slightly more complex, & won’t have any extras even though he’s still a voyager.
I’m using what we’re getting with these Constructicon limb bots as a reference for my theory.
Scrapper is barely more than a deluxe, yet is a “voyager”.
Which tells me these two leg bots for Bruticus won’t have much of any extras. Including the parts or engineering required to form substantial feet.

Onslaught’s release will include the arm supports, chest plate, waist, thighs/knee joints, & the feet.
If he somehow has the parts for a leg configuration like Motormaster & Silverbolt, that will be really unfortunate, because that will look very odd.

Wasn't Swindle one of the first AOTP leaks we heard about, indicating that he'd be the first of the Combaticons released in this line? Did those plans change or something?

He was leaked first yes, but then the spot he was supposed to have was taken by Vortex. So as far as is known now Swindle has no release date.
Unless somebody knows something else.

I know there was just a huge amount of leaked listings, but those weren’t everything for next year. And who knows, maybe he’ll still show up this year…. Vortex is supposedly being delivered on Oct. 3rd from Amazon…. Swindle could be a late November/early December release. He is most likely a voyager, & I can’t even think of any upcoming voyager releases for the rest of ‘25.
Either way, it’ll happen.

Incoming Drop! Age of the Primes and Studio Series Bring the Heat This Spring!

Hey Seibertronians -- remember those jaw-dropping reveals from Cybertron Con and Hasbro’s 1027 event? Well, it’s almost time to clear some shelf space, because the next wave of Transformers figures is rolling out this spring and it is stacked with fan-favorites, deep lore cuts, and Constructicon goodness!

Whether you're building your personal pantheon of Primes or just hyped to finally finish Devastator (with screen-accurate Scrapper, no less), this wave is pure fire.

Let’s break it down Prime-by-Prime, bot-by-bot.

Converts into a tank (of course) in 38 steps and comes ready for battle with a requiem blaster, staff mace, and more accessories than most third-party upgrades. Dark lore? Check. Shelf presence? As of this typing, Prima's section has Solus's images instead of his own, while Solus's own section is image-less.

EDIT: Nevermind. This was all corrected within microseconds. ;)^

So far, I have found Prima, Red Alert, and Wasp. Still looking for Solus, G2 Grimlock, and Megatronus.

Prima is much more interesting in hand than in photos, though his alt mode is pretty boring. But as a robot, he rules. I also love that he can actually draw the star saber from his back.

Red Alert is nice and dense, and I appreciate the updates they made so his alt mode is closed up in the back and his legs are better, though I feel some loss with the big gap in gimmicks.

Wasp is pretty neat, I like this mold, and in these colors it is really nice

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised how much of that leaked lineup appeals to me, the only bots there I'm guaranteed passing on are Quintus and Powerglide. Every other figure there is either a guaranteed pickup or a wait-and-see.

Also, just like the Studio Series listings, there's a few open slots still:
aotp year 2 holes.jpg
Once again, the grey spots are spots that aren't guaranteed to be a missing figure, since we do get waves with only 3 Deluxes from time to time, and this also isn't accounting for any potential triple Voyager waves like the current Sentinel-Ironhide-Scrapper wave since there's zero guarantee that'll actually happen again.

Till-all-R1 wrote:Finally be able to knock a big one off the list with I think leaving only Seaspray left.
Rodimus Prime wrote:Still no Seaspray
We're supposed to be getting Seaspray this year as a Walmart exclusive in another wave of the same capsule as Retro Bee and Gears.

Big Grim wrote:No Aerialbots? So we'll have Bruticus and Superion missing two limbs each?

The last two Aerialbots are Wave 3 this year, and Vortex is actively up for preorder right now.

Everyone wrote:Swindle?
Yeah the Swindle thing is weird, since he was originally leaked as a Deluxe before getting pushed back to "a later wave" in favor of Vortex, and now his fellow leg is a Voyager....maybe the promotion from Deluxe to Voyager is why he got pushed back?

#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Similarly, the last G1 Cliffjumper was in 2022, so perhaps he could be Animated (using the Bumblebee mold) or even Energon
The listing already says it's Prime CJ, so it's either a rerelease of the one from the Legacy 4-pack or possibly a Terrorcon repaint? I'm personally just hoping it's a straight rerelease.

Yup.

They could do like the did with the Puffer/Road Ranger two pack, and give two versions of the same mold. Bad Boy and Viper.

Oh yeah, Viper. I can see that happening. ;)^
There were also 3 more Gobot-Minibot repaints that were only in the FunPub Timelines materials that we'll soon have all the molds for if they wanted to do another big multipack: Buggyman from Beachcomber, Rest-Q from Hubcap, and Man-O-War from Seaspray.

Not gonna lie though, Viper is like the only thing I care about getting from any given Powerglide mold, Bad Boy's a skip for me if he ain't in a multipack.

Something to keep in mind about Brawl being a Voyager is that when he's a leg he basically folds in half (or maybe a third?) so He can be a large tank but still the same height as Swindle when both are legs. Likewise as a bot the whole front of the tank becomes his chest so he can still be roughly the same size as the others in bot mode and still be a good sized tank. Granted, the Swindle toy also folds the front down, but the cartoon model doesn't.

Image

I'm thinking the leg frames will be similar to the other two combiners and Swindle will just pop into the back in full Jeep mode and close a door leaving the tires exposed out the back (like a backwards Menasor leg), but Brawl will fill in the gap himself without a door since his turret needs to stick out the front.

Swindle will probably be the missing figure in wave 2 and I think we'll see Vortex return in wave 3. Maybe they can do a PR of Breakdown in wave 3, too since the design team keeps complaining about his scarcity but not actually doing anything about it.

Side note. Anyone else hoping the unlabeled Smokescreen is the TFPrime character? That'd open us to Aligned Prowl and Barricade as well.

The last two Aerialbots are Wave 3 this year, and Vortex is actively up for preorder right now.

Huh. Musta missed the announcement showing the last two Aerialbots. Never noticed Blast-Offs name in the lists. Thanks for the info!

The listing already says it's Prime CJ, so it's either a rerelease of the one from the Legacy 4-pack or possibly a Terrorcon repaint? I'm personally just hoping it's a straight rerelease.

Ah, I misread and thought 'Prime' referred to the 'Age of the Primes' line, rather than the series

I'm pretty underwhelmed by AoP Red Alert. He's o.k, but nothing jumps out at me as great. He's just fine. >:oP

It may be I own the original and like the other features including the lights and sounds and the firing gimmicks. Also, the tiny clamp missile is just asking to be lost.

I guess it's just not all that when you have the original.

If you don't now the original, and never interacted with it, then I guess he's a decent update.

I'd probably only buy it again if they gave us the Sam's Club 2-pack Prowl and Starscream.

and I'd likely only buy the set for Starscrheen in the maroon and gray. :-D

Oh crap! Select Trypticon showed up two months early at BBTS! I was thinking about checking out a vintage toy show this Friday but not any more! This is probably more worth my time, though, I went to the same show two years ago and it wasn't that great, not worth the hour drive. Plus there's one about 10 minutes from me at a local college this summer.

Anyway, yeah, if you pre-ordered Trypticon you may want to check your email.

With both of them having received modern updates in Legacy/AotP, this is a very real possibility
