What's the problem?
1.They look like people in costumes at best.
2.The animation is horrid and cheap.
3.Fabricating the Transformers into beings from outer-space with human qualities that happen to be robots that Transform and save humans in everyday situations is a terrible idea for a Transformers cartoon.

1) Sure, their proportions aren't square, but that's to be expected. Transformers have been less and less boxy since G1.

Hmmm...wonder why that could be. Maybe because...they're made by the same people? That was one of the first things revealed about this show. If someone has already pointed this out, I'm sorry. I didn't want to go through '150 additional comments' to be safe.

That being said, this looks AWESOME! Bumblebee is just awesome. Prime looks cool in his 3rd-time fire truck form. Bulkhead (presuming that really IS the green one's name) looks like a mix of Hound in colouring and Grimlock in personality (lloks like a low-intelligence, smashy-smashy type of bot). Prowl as a ninja FTW! Ratchet looks cool.

This series looks like a winner!

I think this cartoon is gonna fail.. my money is on 2 seasons only...

so heres the predictions (or indeed facts as some seem to think) so far, none of them backed up by any evidence whatsoever.

The animation is terrible.

theres no way these could possibly be transformable toys so....

The toys will be repaints, indeed BB will be a repaint of the movie toy.

by default Starscream will have chicken legs (as a movie repaint).

prime and bulkhead will be repaints of each other and repaints anyway.

My predictions:

animation, i have no idea but you can bet your bottom $ that these will be all new toys, has hasbro EVER started a new core series without new toys?? NO, (edit, aside from gen 2) so its more likely that they will make new toys for this series. If these things are repaints then just which toy is bulkhead a repaint of?? Oh i forgot, cybertron prime. Hmm, im not convinced that bulkhead is going to be a big green repaint of cybertron prime, but maybe some people know something i dont??

Gee if bulkhead is a repaint try tankor from beast machines. Just a thought but as I go back and look at teen titians and the batman I realize I do enjoy those shows in a fundmental way. Heck I didn't think I would like the new justice league series back when cartoon network announced that but it was good. Even the fantastic four is o.k. We can only hope they do this right but from the character designs it looks like it could suck heck we haven't even seen the decepticons they could be the saving grace of the series.

This is a totally unoriginal observation this far into the thread, but couldn't all the hate be boiled down to, "That not teh G1!!!"?

The only thing that concerns me at this point is this "superhero" talk. Marvel and DC are gonna sue. They own that word. But...weren't the TFs always super, and the Autobots always heroes? I'm not crazy about them fighting a bunch of human foes, as that really shouldn't be a contest, but if they masquerade as rescue vehicles between fights with the Decepticons, that could work. I always thought G1 was too quick to give up on the whole "Robots in Disguise" thing. If history is any predictor, I betcha the pilot will take the whole "re-imagining" as far as it can go, then in two or three episodes we'll be back to Autobots vs. Decepticons for control of oil/minibots/Cybertron. And yes, I know its "minicons".

Gosh, I seriously think It'll be like Dexter's Lab or The Justice Friends or Dial M for Monkey... hahahhahahahha.

We see bumblebee tiptoeing behind Optimus and Rachet busy watching things on the monitor, looking for signs of Decepticon activity. He reaches a corner and eyes on a button.

Prime is a truck cab type vehicle (albeit with a watercannon/gun on top) but so have most primes and theres dozens of versions of him. id be totally suprised if these are repaints, there is zero reason to assume they will be.

If it's anything like Teen Titans, this will be excellent. That series was panned by people for being too kiddy....Though more often then not, the episodes were quite serious. They had some funny ones of course, but a lot were very dark. Not to mention that the animation itself was extremely fluid. People are already trashing this when they've effectively seen nothing except for a picture. I don't have a problem with that for the most part. I just wish folks would hold off until they've seen a couple episodes.

Hell Titans first episode was pretty generic. It wasn't until the end of the first season where things really started getting good. I could see this being the same way. Having the Decepticons staying in the background for most of the first season, manipulating the humans into doing things for them. That way the Autobots think the humans are the cause of all the problems since they came to Earth.

They say in the synopsis that the shows aren't linked....Freakishly enough they said the same thing about Teen Titans. And for the most part each episode was it's own self contained story. But many had a little thing happen that made you realize something was building in the background. I can definitely see them taking this approach. And I personally can't wait to see this show. Certainly a breath of fresh air compared to that Anime bullshit we've had for the last 4 series.

like i said earlier,the poster is most likely exagerating the fluidity of the robot forms for a dynamic pose. the only way this could end up bad is if they do make the stories too immature, but i don't think they'll do this, as they'll lose the audience they're lookin for(and i mean pre-teens and teens not whiny twenty/thirty somethings that sound like them)i bet when this comes out most of the naysayers will be eating thier words.

Seriously...those look similar at best. The alt mode really isn't all that much like Cybertron Prime's. I highly doubt we'll see a flying fire-truck (which was editted at first?) in this series. I could be wrong, but I hope not, because that was just stupid. I also only see one water cannon, while Cybertron had those two ridiculously huge things on him. Robot mode, not too similar at all. The chest is more Star Convoy than Cybertron Prime, and the arm transformation is totally different, based on the fact that the cab of this new Prime is totally red, with no blue in sight. Face it, this new Prime is the standard Prime design, and will not be a Cybertron repaint.

MAN ITS LIKE TALKING TO A BRICK WALL... G-1 PRIME IS A BOX WITH WHEELS, THIS ONE HAS THE SAME CONTOURS AS THE CYBERTRON PRIME. they look similar is all I'm trying to say. I just think that the final toys may be rehashes/Retools of previous releases, rather then new molds..I could be wrong, but I'm just kinda worried that this may be the actual toy line destiny..
