Bumblebee would arguably work perfectly in the slightly-smaller-than-deluxe scale.

So yeah, small deluxes that wont scale with anything else. And if anyone of you also visits other forums, you might want to tell the TFW board members that since they look super confused over this.
actually, if that is their size, then i think they will scale with RID warrior class. Warpath is a big deluxe if compared with non-chug toy nowadays. That galvatron is pretty much the same size as rid warrior class.

IDK what to make of this new line to be honest. Guess I'd have to see them in hand to be a judge.

TRANSFORMERS fans... the more Chinese knock off level figures they target at 3-5 year olds, the more they just prepare them to grow up with the very figures we dislike. Do not purchase these for your children. Teach your children about quality, and to not just accept what is thrown at them.

What IS "Quality" though?
Because the point of these figures is to have simple transformers that are more complex and less "baby" looking than Rescue Bots. For a (allegedly) decent price.
Even parents have trouble transforming the standard movie deluxe. Also, those deluxes have tiny parts that detach and get lost very easily.
So those "evergreen" figures fit the specs necessary for it's target demographic. THAT is GOOD quality. The quality expected and asked for.
Only if those sell for the same price (or more expensive) than normal deluxes will they become of "bad" quality.

But didnt 80s kids grow up with simple TF toys that looked nothing like the show and were barely painted and lacked articulation?
Like this one?

Think of where we would be if parents didnt buy those?
I fail to see how these are any different.

Well said, Will. We didn't have to grow up on Masterpieces to appreciate Masterpieces; if you'd given most (or, I'd wager, any) of us something of that level for our first Transformer when we were 5 - probably around the target age for these figures I'm guessing - we'd have been totally turned off Transformers for a fair while, if not permanently. Regardless what standards we hold these toys to, they do transform, and they do look good and play well. That's all they need to do, and they do it well.
That said of course, I won't be getting any of these for myself - as an older fan, I do admittedly prefer more complex and articulated figures. I really like the designs though; I'm really hoping we get them in something closer to RiD Warrior Class as well as these versions

Eh I dunno. The only mini-bots I had were Cosmos and Powerglide and I liked them but even back then when I was a tiny little thing I still found them depressingly basic and I still prefered the more complex detailed bots and Jetfire was my absolute fave overall and despite mostly poorer articulation in the 80s toys (bar Jetfire and a few others) they still pee all over this Prime, Bee, Megs and Screamer in design and general quality appearance.
Hell I was thinking the same thing the other day when I picked up an RID Warrior Class Bumblebee at car boot sale and thinking how ridiculously blocky and crap it looks compared to G1 toys.
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!

i'm sorry if we are misunderstand, but your post sounds like it was implying "the toys from old toys was much better and not like a knock off", thus he is just mentioning that the toys from the olden times wasn't any better either.

A friendly reminder that little kids want to have FUN with their figures. Look at the picture below. You can bet that they smiled just for the stock photo and that Optimus got thrown back into the toy bin right after.
...
Can't find the damn picture but it was a promo shot with a kid and his mom and the kid was holding a ROTF leader Optimus whose transformation was given up mid-way.
Anyway, to project adult tastes on a kid is quite immature. Also, don't overestimate a parent's skills. Many are just barely able to open and close a door yet alone transforming a standard TF.

Re: Transformers Evergreen Toyline Thread
You know what's funny.. every iteration of the new Transformers stuff coming out, is basically a retread of G-1. It's like Hasbro forgot that there were other series..
Like Beast Wars, or RID, or Armada..I know, I am a Geewunner who is whinning about too much G-1 Inspired merchandise continually coming out, revamping the look just a bit, stylized a bit more.. but essentially they are always going back to the original for inspiration and story ideas.
It's nice.. But I kinda want to see something that gives us updated figures based on the best of the entire universe or genre.
I'd love to see a Hasbro or Takara version of updated figures from Armada, and RID. The Cars in RID were pretty cool. Much better then the shell formers some of the Armada Line up had. I loved the Ultra Magnus and Optimus Fire Truck combo mode..
wonder when the Armada generation of adults will be demanding their own toyline like us old timer Geewunners?
Or would RID be a better line to release with new and better engineered figures??
Only the future will tell, but it's definitely a great time to be a Transformers Fan, and a G-1 Alum.

we actually got updated beast wars rhinox, waspinator, and rattrap. We also got rid sky byte, armada starscream, and beast machines tankor. That being said, i do agree with you. I'll take what i can get, but if we can get a line with lots of rid and cybertron updates, that would be nice. I would like to see them updating rid datsun brothers, as well as cybertron starscream

Oh man! I FORGOT about the Datsun Bros! They were pretty cool! I loved Cybertron Starscream too! He was a great looking figure! Yea, I suppose we got some trickles coming out. Maybe there will be a flood of them later.. where there's a trickle, there is always a leak and then a flood.. here's hoping to see some Robots in Disguise toyline figures, an Armada reformatted Prime, and Megatron, and hopefully some more figures from other series to come!

Armada shellformers? I believe you are confused. If anything Armada was known for its blocky and not-shelformery toys. The most shelformery you got was Red Alert, and he used most of his SUV mode for his lights and sounds and minicon gimmicks.
All other deluxes were pretty much blocks made from car parts.
R.I.D on the other hand thrived on shell-forming. SideBurn, and Prowl used pretty much nothing of their cars modes for their robot modes. They are still awesome toys, but after BW, they were still just robots tucked inside a car shell. Even Prime's base Robot mode used very little of the Firetruck in his robot mode.
R.I.D Sideburn (85% of the car hangs of his back and left arm)

Armada Wheeljack (70% of his car makes up body parts, and only a minor portion is his gimmicky backpack).

On the topic of updates, Hasbro has attempted to gives updated figures of other lines. Such was the case with Universe Dinobot and Cheetor. And Universe Hot Shot. Combiner Wars gave us Armada Megatron, and Titans Return gave us Tidal Wave. etc... Obviously some have been more successful than others.
Takara even gave s Armada Thrust for their Unite Warriors line as a combiner limb for Grand Galvatron.

I loved RID Prowl, he was one of my Fav car bots from CAR ROBOTS OR RID.\

Now if they can give us some New Molded bots that match the animation models more closely, I would pick them up for sure!

especially an Omega Prime 2 pack!
Maybe they'll do an Omega Prime in the Power of the Primes line up??

In terms of accuracy, RiD through Cybertron was pretty damn good at nailing this since the shows would draw directly from the toys and not making any changes to emphasise character, like in say G1 or Prime. So bar a couple disasters like Armada Sideswipe, if you're wanting an accurate representation of a Unicron Trilogy/RiD character... the original toys will do just fine. It's more or less articulation where things start to falter, especially in Armada; which seems to be the biggest reason people want updates. I know I'd love a Treadbolt who could do more with her legs than a really weird steamroller gimmick...
