The Transformers: Battle Masters App is now available for both iOS and Android. It's a boxing style fighting game that starts with two playable characters, Bumblebee and Starscream. However, six additional characters can be unlocked as you gain achievement in the game. Click here to download for iOS or here for Android, and check out screen shots below:

Very cute. Excellent graphics. A bit repetitive, though. Punch Out! had a bit more variety than this, and considering today's advancements, I'd like a bit more movement out of the fighters, but it's definitely worth trying. It will definitely be a lot of fun for kids.

I just hope scanning isn't absolutely required to unlock all the secrets and treats. I hope you can earn them the old fashioned way, because I don't see these things selling all that well.

I also think if it had a console version, that would help sales too. Not every kid has access to a smart device, or if they do, it doesn't have the power or connection required to make things work.

looking at their designs, this seems to be based off that upcoming toyline...mashers or something like that? but yeah looks neat, i'll give it a go if its free.
