I'm confused, how is it adding precedent if this is for the Bumblebee line and not the actual Studio Series line? Do we know cliff is coming to the SS line too?
Do we know for certain Cliff is also getting an SS86 release? Not currently, no, but considering so far only 1 of the other 12 SS figures getting released in this Bee line is completely exclusive to this line so far, it feels like a safer bet to make than not.
I would argue the opposite. Mainly from the perspective of how would they release a regular SS86 Cliff in addition to the Buzzworthy release for Target? We already saw the case breakdowns for all of SS for next year and Cliff wasn't there. I can't see him being added to the wave cases after the list got leaked without also popping up in the other leaks/rumors. Would they make him a Target regular SS exclusive in addition to a Buzzworthy one? Let another retailer have the regular Cliff release as an exclusive? None of the ways to release him make any sense to me.
Instead of looking at the the known Buzzworthy releases as a set of 12, I would just isolate the 3 that we learned of from the Buzzworthy line itself, SS74, SS79 and Cliff. Those were the only 3 to be potential future releases since all the others were already out and had a number already. SS74 came out regularly, SS79 did not. So we are really just looking at a 50/50 shot based on the 2 previous releases that showed up in Buzzworthy first.
I hope I'm wrong for anyone who wants a better shot at this Cliff than just Target in the US, but it just doesn't make sense to me unless they changed the wave after Perceptor/Wheeljack/Brawn/Ratchet without any of the leakers finding out and nobody finding a store code for the item. If it would be due in wave 2, those code would be in somebody's system by now, and likely to have been found.
Now watch him show up in a surprise revision wave case in a Walmart somewhere tomorrow.
