Aw c'mon, how about they release a compatible figure of Prowl?

Either way, my wallet is gonna take a pounding from this, as is my emotions from my parent's disapproval. Oh well.

I think it would be hilarious if this figure used the design for MakeToys' Green Giant or TFC's Hercules.

I can't stand it knowing that this figure is going to happen. I'm incredibly impatient for an official Devi to be released. My G1 is sitting on display in my living room and is taunting me.
This figure needs to happen sooner than later....

That's the funny thing: they actually could sue! Theoretically speaking of course

Re: Transformers Generations Devastator - So Big It Needs Its Own Thread
From the price I would say it was all six voyager sized constructicons in a giant pack. There is no way hasbro would allow six new molds to be a TRU exclusive.
On the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if it was a repaint of ROTF Devastator. After seeing how much TRU has jacked up the price on current exclusives $180 for that worthless pile of a toy wouldn't surprise me.

So if its 170, all the constructicons would be in a deluxe-voyager scale, so it works for me
Just give me the pictures NOW!, Mr. Hasblow.
Edit: I hope the box would homage the G1 Gift set box, it would be amazing.

A Devastator made from 6 Voyagers would dwarf all the other combiners in the line, which I find unappealing. If they were all Deluxes or between Deluxe and Voyager (with a possible 7th figure as Prowl) I'd be more accepting. We'll chalk up the price to Toys 'R Us' shenanigans
If you Break it down like that it makes perfect sense. I don't have a problem with the size if 5 or six voyagers were to form Devastator. He would not quite be as tall as Metroplex.

Not to mention the fact that having theConstructicons be Voyager class would make them roughly...scale...with the other figures.

Guessing the States version will cost much cheaper than the Canadian price. Like how cheap Hasbro in the states was selling Titan Metroplex a few years ago.
Hoping TRU in the states is not the only retail store selling this. As TRU in the states often charges high mark ups for exclusive TF toys.
Wishing everyone in the states and most sites sell Titan Devastator, So the price isn't that high.
Going to jump the gun, Half a year ahead in 2015. By guessing that Titan Devastator will get recolored in G-2 and Diaclone colors, become SDCC and Amazon.com exclusives.
While I agree that selling it in more places would help lower the cost. I don't see that happening. Parents aren't going to shell out $150 on a giant action figure. Much like Metroplex this will be a collectors item and a Toysrus exclusive. If all this is true the demand for this thing will be HUGE in the collector space!

Six Voyagers won't make a Metroplex-sized toy when combined in Devastator's configuration. "Titan class" ain't necessarily one specific size. Look at how varying the size of "Supreme class" has been.Ultra Markus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:This year is Combiner Wars, not City Wars.Ultra Markus wrote:hmm......... a titan devastaor? really? what about a titan scorponok or trypticon?

um... i have most all the supreme class tfs that came out over the years and they are all pretty much the same size and there have only been 2 toys in the history of Transformers that are titan class the first which i dont think was refereed as a titan and the second which was the only one called a titan im talking about Fortress maximus and Metroplex
the size of this devastator would be closer to supreme class

2007/ROTF Ultimate Bumblebee and DOTM Ultimate Optimus Prime are the same size class but very different sizes.
Fort Max is not a Titan class. He predates size classes. Metroplex is the only official Titan class toy, and Devastator will go to show how Metroplex's size isn't the standard for the class.Ultra Markus wrote:and there have only been 2 toys in the history of Transformers that are titan class the first which i dont think was refereed as a titan and the second which was the only one called a titan im talking about Fortress maximus and Metroplex

I thought we already learned that Hasbro uses "classes" to differentiate price points, not toy size. It's about the cost of production, including engineering, raw materials used, and complexity of assembly and deco applications. Titan class is for high price point items, not just two-foot tall figures. Think about how many parts of Metroplex are hollow, plus the money saved by making consumers apply almost all of the "paint" details with stickers versus the engineering that goes into making SIX new toys that have three modes each and combine to form a larger robot. Putting these very different products into the same price range starts to make a lot of sense.

Fascinating. I wonder if a 33% markup is standard for all their TF toys? That in and of itself provides very interesting insight to the retailer cost of any TF.
I have always been under the impression that all retail does a 100% markup.
Very interesting.
Doesn't TRU in Canada always charges much more than TRU in the USA?
Speculating, we still might not know the TRU USA Titan Devastator price. guessing Titan Devastator will be Titan Metroplex price. Also hoping it's not only a TRU store exclusive.
Agree TRU Stores always charge a mark up of much more than Walmart and Target does.
MasterSoundBlaster wrote:Just as long as it isn't prowlestator, I'll be happy
Also don't want a Prowl toy mixed in with this Titan Devastator toy. Want it to be composed of the Six updates 1985 Constructicons characters toys and that's it.

my point was that the other combiner wars combiners don't refer to the class of the combined robot and the fact that each part is sold separately as deluxes and voyagers, for this devastator why not sell each part separately as voyagers, why now do they want to release as a set with a huge price tag when buying seperatly would be easier on everbody
