There's no reason why Bonecrusher and Scavenger can't have legs that fold out into forearms for limb mode, so I'm holding out hope that the forearms are indeed part of the arm bots somehow.
Why cant hasbro just be doing this to play up the G1 homage? The other combiner war toys, just like their g1 counterparts, didnt include the feet and hands as part of the robots. So why did anyone expect anything different with devastator? This is a just a bigger more articulated and detailed version of the G1 toy, same for the other combiners. But nothing more than that.
i think the disappointment is from the lack of forearm integration. if you look at hercules (and i think giant?) the legs of the bots (vehicle treads) cleverly become the forearms. but personally ive never had hard feelings towards parts-forming.
Exactly, Hercules got it right.
Giant had his forearms partsform, but I believe you can at least DO something with them other than just set them aside.
I suppose if this guy DOES have forearms that come off, I wouldn't be as down on them if they at least became weapons or something like the other CW bots.

There's another factor to consider here: The budget. 3rd party toys have done so much with their goods, but they often do so because of the insane amount of money they put into those things. It isn't just the limited production that makes those items so expensive, it's also because they're very expensive to make. Hasbro's obviously going to be more economic with their products and use a much lower budget than what third parties use. If that means having to go the G1 route of lacking the kind of forearm integration that Hercules has, then there's not much to be done about it. Best we can hope for if that is the case is that the forearms aren't rendered just useless chunks of kibble when not in the combiner mode and that there's some use to be had of them for the individual figures, like if they become weapons for them like the hands/feet do for the Aerialbots and Stunticons.

Herc's originally design had the forearms made from the vehicle treads, but the addon kit replaced that with separate parts for more G1 accuracy.
The forearms on Giant are basically designed as towable generators, so not integrated into the vehicles, but still displayabe with them (towed by the leg bits however)
Not fussed if Generations Devastator has separate forearms or not, I'm just looking forward to the release

It looks promising. Larger than what I was hoping for. But it should be a fun figure. I think Hasbro might have chose the large height so MP collectors can display him too. Just my theory.

Sweet mother of Christ...
Not a sheeple. Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you. Question EVERYTHING!! Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special. I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
If you look at Devastator's sides you can see Scavenger's purple treads up against his side like the original. It looks like they're used to connect him to the main body. His hip joints give his arm mode the outward pivot you see in the picture. Since the forearms will certainly be weapons like with the other Combiner Wars figures I have no problem with the legs being given this function. It should be more interesting to see how they pull off that same range of motion with Bonecrusher.
In the new pictures it's clear that Mixmaster really is upside down, so strange, hope they have a good reason for that. Does look like he has a purple barrel, though.

I've been excited by and for a lot of things in life. But there's only ONE other thing that matched the excitement I feel now: the feeling I had upon seeing the SHIELD Helicarrier lift off out of the ocean in Marvel's The Avengers. Words cannot describe.

Just trying to have some fun, Hammer, and get all of us a decent picture of Devastator. I thought the $50 offer was a nice gesture to someone who wanted to provide us with a picture. Offering a fee for photos of upcoming highly desired figures is something I've wanted to do for a long time but it hasn't been until Combiner Wars Devastator that I've seen such an incredible amount of interest in one particular figure or set. If Hasbro asks me to stop with that practice, I'll be happy to comply. But in the meantime, Seibertron.com is a business and I'm just looking for an upper hand on our competition much like much of the news media that offers payments for photo exclusives. Offering a fee for a photo that we want is very fair to those who take their time and effort to share photos from events overseas that we are currently not attending.

I can't even begin to guess why it would have an attachment point at both ends to even make that possible. Let alone that you can see the "foot" is bent a bit for stability just like Scrapper.

No he's not mistransformerd read on another site that's how his foot mistransformerd or Not.
Would some people still buy it if it was mistransformerd
What?! How would anyone know if the foot is transformed correctly or not, no one got to actually transform it! I am not saying I am right, but saying that anyone is absolutely correct about a figure no one has played with is nonsensical.

Klausie doesn't strike me as the type of fella who plays with Transformers in his spare time. I used to work for a display company. Used to do trade show set ups all the time. Lets just say I wasn't the guy that got sent on the fashion jobs.

And besides, it isn't like there aren't a few hundred paid photographers there already.
