It's rumored to be the haunted by the ghosts of all of the end-wave figures that never made it to retail shelves

I have the same dilemma but here is the problem: we humans have a very short memory and are easily swayed by emotion. But I want you to try to remember this: remember the time not too long ago when I you realized a united or henkei version had way better paint apps and is now sold out and quite expensive. Check out that beautiful voyager galaxy force starscream on e-bay. What about that time you gave in and swallowed your pride and paid for that overly expensive toy simply because you got notice of it or interest in it after the facts (like Platinum Omega Supreme or MP Soundwave).
Do you remember this feeling? Because a lot of people will be feeling that in two years when the Takara Devastator will have been sold out and escalate in price on the secondary market. And unlike some nice henkei seeker, that shipping price will be the nail in the coffin of your dreams. You dont want to feel that. Others will surely feel it since there are new fans everyday (which is wonderful), but you wont feel it. Because you will have waited for the Takara version and be able to pose them all individually the way you want it with their nice individual guns in hand.
Truly, what is six months compared to a lifetime or regret?
At least wait till you know the price for takara's Devastator.

Supposedly, the Sunnyvale TRU was built on an old farm area where a farmer accidentally chopped his hand off and bled to death.
The rumors of hauntings have been reported from that TRU since the 80's.
The old show "Unsolved Mysteries" actually did a segment on this TRU.

If I really want individual guns for them, there'll be a 3p release eventually, but he'll be combined for the most part, and I suppose Reprolabels will eventually release a set for extra details.

ou are talking about paying at least 50$ more for unofficial extras. You think that 3 p company will let you get away for anything less than 20-30$. Same with reprolabels? Also, from my experience, stickers can never replace paint apps.

At least wait till you know the price for takara's Devastator.
You should give speeches for a living; seriously though, that is my exact thought process, unless I can get hasbros for a steal (unlikely) I would definitely go for TT; if you could wait for superion, you can wait for devastator (I sound like a parent)

Yeah, with shipping (I assume) on both, and the nature of 3p's (though nonnef has a nice set, you should check it out) it will probably be much cheaper to import one; it all comes down to patience.

Guess BBTS is real tired of every retailer breaking street dates and people canceling their orders with them cause they got it somewhere else first.
I bet BBTS already have it in their warehouse
The Chosen Prime's also getting theirs in next week.
Ugh, I really can't decide if I want him now or wait until Takara's comes out!

Did you used to sell used cars? That technique is selling through fear. I'd rather make a decision based on value (or at least perceived value).
For me it's not about the wait, it's about the price. Oh, and which one has a visor
I've done the potentially foolish thing and put in a pre-order for Hasbro's. Still hoping that Takara's price+shipping is in my budget and I can change my pre-order.

But it is my own fear I am sharing, and something I deal with all the time. People were asking, I shared my sentiments. Perceived value is as personal as one's own fears.

True true, sorry , didn't mean to come off as attacky. I think the wait for news on Tak's Devy has made us all a bit crazy. Well, it's making me a bit crazy anyway.
Nice jingle there Seibs! Ok, so who didn't hear the theme music in their heads?

True on both counts, and I should have bolded the "if" in my post there - currently I don't feel the need, and while it's true, stickers don't replace paint, in some cases that can provide more detail and a single colour of paint can. I'll admit, I'm a little weird but I actually like the process of applying stickers, and the sole cost of shipping the behemoth to Aus from o/s would probably cover the cost of the labels, let alone the extra price the Takara version would (presumably) command, so I'm still better off (in my mind at least.)
But I do respect your position, there is something about getting the "perfect" version of a figure straight out of the box - I felt that way with almost all of the Takara FOC releases, United Tracks and the United/Generations Asia three packs, but at this point in time, with a mini-prjkt due in Jan, I don't think I can budget to spend much of TFs later in the year. Bruticus will probably be the only release from around that time I'll pick up.
