Are you thinking we can mix and match and stack the bots however we like? Arm can be leg, torso can be arm....that kinda thing? That would be cool.

At a minimum, I'm hoping that Hook can double as a leg as well as the upper torso/shoulders. That would allow them to do Prowl on top to enable that fictional play pattern. I'm not a big fan of mixing up limbs for Scramble City, but I think it'd be interesting to see Devastator get mixed and matched. I'm also curious if they'll use the same style of combiner ports or if they'll be larger or what. Time will tell!

I agree, I want Devastator to be a partial limb swapper, and my money is on the upcoming Prowl being able to combine with them, that way the Geewunner and Prowlestator fans can get their cake and eat it too.

I'll admit, the color scheme always confused me. I don't see 'green' all that well, and I'm sure I remember Constructicons being yellow... And all the construction vehicles around here have always been yellow/orangish, so when I found his 'real' color was green... it blew my mind.

I prefer pi, but not until the middle of March...

Well, we do have John Deere here in the states, which is mostly farm equipment, but does produce some dark green colored tractors.

Here's a green crane from the UK:

Image
Here's a green bulldozer

Image
A cement mixer might be green depending on the company who owns it:

Image
Same with a mining dump truck.

I know that I've seen a number of different paint schemes on construction equipment (and Fire Supression vehicles, for that matter. Not all are red, some green, some white...)

And I now realize that you may not be able to see the green in the photos. Hopefully this doesn't make me insensitive... 8-}

Can I give you some pi in the middle of March?

Given the different colours of construction vehicles does that make the diaclone original a more realistic colour scheme?

Thinking some sites might offer a $40 plus discount on Titan Devsastator. Similar to was done with Titan Metroplex.

Okay, this is totally unlikely, but what if the Constructicons all turned into Voyager-sized torsos and limbs? They could all work with the standard Combiner Wars figures, so you could have Menasor with impossibly thick Tonka Truck forearms or Superion with dump truck thunder thighs.

Like you said it's quite unlikely. I doubt Hasbro would sell 6 deluxes for over $100. That would be kinda hilarious though to have a superion with beefcake arms lol

i heard that devastators connections looked different from the others.

but i was also thinking maybe each component could become a torso piece for the others. ..

i couldn't care less about scramble city.. it never made any sense to me and i have absolutely zero interest in mix-matching team members.

What about it didn't make sense? In the Japanese fiction it was a way for the gestalts to get stronger or inflict more damage (like in the scramble city cartoon) plus if the constructicons were modular it would be to facilitate the IDW fiction were they were modified after scrappers death.

When Titan Metroplex first came out. The first online Pre-orders from BBTS sold Titan Metroplex for $109. Some other American sites sold it for a similar price.

In another example found in the second-to-last episode of The Headmasters cartoon, Defensor got his First Aid arm blasted off him by Bruticus. Using a form of Scramble Power that Defensor referred to as a "Speed Change", he switched Streetwise from being a leg to replace his missing arm, and First Aid was reattached now as a leg. The name "Speed Change" suggests that this new configuration was meant to possibly increase Defensor's speed to better match blows against Bruticus.

A better example of this can be found in Defensor's 1992 redeco Guard City, who used a similar but different technique called "Free-Combination" ("Jizai Gattai") to assume different configurations for different situations. His standard configuration has Fly-Up (Blades redeco) and Streetstar (Streetwise redeco) as his right and left arms, and Safety (First Aid redeco) and Sparkride (Groove redeco) as his left and right legs.

When he needs to act as a field medic, he switches out Streetstar to have Safety form his left arm to access Safety's medical expertise in Repair Formation.

When he needs enhanced speed, he switches out Safety to have Streetstar together with Sparkride to form his legs (while Safety this time forming his right arm, apparently taking Fly-Up's place, who instead is the left arm now) to access Sparkride's and Streetstar's speed in Mach Formation.

When he needs to assist humanity in traffic control and safety like a traffic cop (cuz he apparently does that or something), he switches out Fly-Up to have Safety together with Streetstar to form his arms (while Sparkride seems to switch to being the left leg since Sparkride's now the right one, for some reason) to access the sirens of both Safety and Streetstar in Signal Formation.

And when he needs more heavily armed equipment for battle, he switches out Streetstar to have Sparkride together with Fly-Up to form his arms (and Safety apparently switches to being the right leg since Streetstar is the right) to access Fly-Up's rotor blades and Sparkride's sharp air current abilities in Attack Formation.

Yep. But I felt Guard City would serve as enough of an example and didn't wanna make the post twice as long.
