It HAS to be Sentinel Prime. Like he said, just look at the similarities with the G1 version of Sentinel...and Optimus Prime. The colour, the shape of the head, the mouth, the long wing-like shoulder parts...and the fact that this robot has the same kind of "horns" on the side of his head like Optimus is also a total give-away that this could only be a prime! Speculate all you like, but i think it's pretty damn obvious.
Wreck-Gar? No way in hell, sorry...
Alpha Trion? Not similar enough, except for the moustache.

I thought Bay said he didn't see the point in "aliens who moonlight as vehicles needing other vehicles to get around" or something like that. On the other hand, wouldn't be the first time a continuity has contradicted itself...

When you mouse over the picture it indicates that it is Shockwave (at least with my browser) therefore, regardless of how it looks or what anyones previous notions of Shockwave may be, we are not getting our favorite one-eyed, purple, monotoned bad-ass in TF3. The beat-to-hell, almost-Gundam-like bot with the funky coloring may actually be Shockwave.

FINALLY, some one notices.

The only thing that ruins your theory though, my friend, is the fact that we've all already seen Shockwave's head on a pole on photos of the Chicago set...and he is indeed purple and has one eye, just how we remember him...
So i'm sticking by what i said, that it's Sentinel Prime, who probably crash-landed whilst chasing Shockwave, who can be found elsewhere on the moon...
TypeRProwl wrote:Whatever way you tried to quote it's screwed up as you make it look like I said he's Shockwave!!!
You just quoted the bit I was referring to and not my reply which stated it's not Shockwave, because as we both mentioned we have seen his head already on a stick.

What if the TFs can't fly? In G1 they all could fly, trucks, cars, and all, and they needed a space ship. IMO, I think on Cybertron, if they where carrying a heavy load or somthing they would possibly use other vehicles, if their vehicle mode isn't big enough.

Only the Decepticons can fly, Autobots can't with the exception of the dinobots, superion, skylynx and any other plane/helicopter autobots like springer. Prime etc can't fly without rocket powered help lol

I seem to remember Ironhide flying in one of the first episodes. Not any time after, however...

After re-reading 12 pages of posts and viewing the trailer 4 times, the only thing that I can say with any degree of certainty is that somewhere, somehow there is a bot with a mustache that crash landed on the Dark side of Chicago and is running around with a stick up his arse terrorizing Sentinel Trion. Does that sound about right?

He was seen flying in the movie after Megatron blew his head off. Yes I know it was an animation glitch.

But have you considered that that gold robot ccould very well be Rodimus Prime? In the Bayverse anything could happen.
