So, with that $92million in bookings, we're going to see some serious enhancements to gameplay (different modes, different base layouts, new ways of warring, etc.) any day now right?

Also, I know it's been harped on in earlier posts about this story, but the completely blah samurai look of these two is going to guarantee that they are forgotten into the dustbin of history in no time.

Don't get me wrong, people are going to find the characters important in TF:EW, if the gameplay mechanic we got to pilot is anything to go by. And maybe one day they'll even get a spidey crab tank toy ala Cyberverse Shockwave. But if you think these two are going to capture the imaginations of the fans I think SA should have handled them differently.

For starters, the hype was unreal (and maybe they're still building up to the rumored gameplay changes), and instead of launching Titans! Primus! Unicron! massive gameplay expansion! they were like Prime Core Guardians! :BANG_HEAD:

Now that the toy line is done hyping them, is anyone going to care about Prime Cores anymore?

I might be in the minority, but I think Transformers doesn't need any more new characters.

In the 30+ years of the brand this is a franchise that has thousands of characters, many of whom could be revisited and given some more limelight. I think there was someone that said these two are basically Roulette and Shadow Striker who could stand to return (maybe get some non exclusive toys)

I feel like this is a case where any time a new creator gets involved with some portion of the brand, they want to add to it with their own guy, make their own mark. I can understand that desire, I doubt there's anyone here who doesn't have at least one character they made up and would love to add if given the opportunity, but that's also why every new, hastily sketched character, is met with a "bleh".

We've got fantastic news for fans of the Transformers: Earth Wars game, as we've received word via the official newsletter that a brand new game mode, Raid Battles, are live! A new campaign has been added in as well, Return to Cybertron, which was written by legendary Transformers fiction author, Simon Furman!

NEW GAME MODE: RAID BATTLES

Bah-weep-graaaaagnah wheep nini bong!

The NEW game mode: Raid Battles are finally here in Transformers: Earth Warsalong with a new campaign: Return to Cybertron featuring a story written by renowned Transformers comics writer, Simon Furman.

Raid Battles are new alliance war mode where an entire alliance works together to overcome multiple strong raid bases to collect Raid Points and unlock rewards.

And the very first Raid Battles event: Raid to Cybertron is currently on!

As some of you know, there have been some connection issues since the start of the event, for which we’d like to sincerely apologize.

Since a majority of players are able to play now after some fixes, we’ve decided to keep the event running. There will be a compensation on this coming Monday, 3rd of December, including 5* Shards, Shanix Coins and Fuel Cells to storage that can be used in an upcoming event.

Don’t miss out this chance to try this new game mode and collect new currency:Shanix Coins to purchase some unique items such as Universal Combiner Sparks,Ore-13, XP Power Cores, Power Core Chips and 5-Star Optimus Primal or BW Megatron.

At a later point, the Raid Battles will find another place as a mid-week event, which will take place every Tuesday at 10:00 AM UTC to Thursday 10:00 AM UTC. A little late for the announcememt, because the weekend event showing the game mode off is already over XD, but don't worry about. I think the game mode is perfect for hardcore players and people who pay to play, but a little difficult for others.

I wouldn't say you have to pay to win--I did 77k worth of damage for my alliance in it (out of the 1 million total for the entire 40 players), but it is more hardcore requiring more strategy. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it has been the same ole / same ole for a while now.

I'll stick with Pokemon Go, I can play it at my own leisure.

Yeah, man, I try to keep things upbeat and lively but like nobody talks ever and nobody really earns much. At times lately I’ve been kinda, meh, about it, but in some ways it’s like another part of my Transformer collection. It’s still fun sometimes to put together a squad of my faves and just blow some stuff up :michaelbay:

Pretty much this. I quit about this time last year for good cause it took almost your entire weekend to compete in an event to be in an alliance.

It lost the fun and became a chore, so I left.
