Just wondering if anyone has played this game? It's a mobile phone game, but really a pretty good one. It's a tactical combat game in Front Mission style, but you play as the Autobots. Different characters have different abilities (Ratchet can repair fellow units, Optimus gives a morale boost to other characters, Metroplex can activate new units etc.). You can transform your units to let them move further, then back to robot mode for combat, which is turn-based takes place in a cool (and surprisingly detailed) little animation. Most of the action is about capturing power stations and defeating enemies, and alongside the story mode it also has Showdown and Cybertron Arena modes.
It doesn't break any boundaries but there are far worse ways to spend £3 I think, and it sure beats the utterly pants TF Movie mobile phone tie-in game. Has anyone else played it and have any opinions on it?

Never heard of it but it sounds pretty cool...Is it G1 based then?

same here. a level or 2 are tricky, but thats all the real challenge. once you beat it you can play as the cons! :grin:

Holy crap...I just downloaded this game on my phone and I LOVE it! It's Front Mission with Transformers! I've been playing it almost non-stop since yesterday...

It very loosly follows the G1 series story line, using specific episodes as the loose basis for each chapter (Such as the "Fire in the Sky" chapter where you fight Jetfire who's with the decepticons and then he joins the autobots) and the artwork is VERY pleasing for a 2D cellphone game...Many characters represented and most have cool features (ex. Soundwave will eject his cassette minions during battle and you have to fight them too)...Also, there's an actually reasonable use of transforming as well (vehicle mode allows you to move more spaces during your turn but you can't fight or capture strategic points in that form)

Seriously, if you like Front Mission, you'll love this game

I'd really love to get this game, but the website is so broken that I can't check if my phone supports it (pretty sure it will do (Nokia 6303) or find any way to buy it. The poorly designed flash-reliant website won't even tell me how much the damn thing is. Anyone in the UK have it, and know any better places to buy it?
I'm on Virgin Mobile as well, so maybe I can't get it. The only company I could see anywhere on the site that I recognised as a UK one was T Mobile. Seems pretty silly that they don't want my money.
