People llike me you mean jelze only windcharger I have is from the heroes of Cybertron range which is just his g1 toy but as a keychain.

I love the scramble-city style action they got going on, especially since some of the characters may be on different sides in the comics which is were I'll be basing my collection on.

Thanks guys, I was really confused. But now the confusion is getting worse. I just realized we are getting another legends Windcharger. WHY?! We had an amazing one before and this oen doesnt even appear to come close. WTF happened at hasbro?

That 2010 Windcharger screams, "I was designed soley by Takara".

I guess I must have missed it but, can someone please explain to me why is drag strip on the box?, why is he connected to the aireal bots?

Because he isn't? Drag Strip is still a Stunticon but he'll be in the same wave as the 4 Aerialbots shown. The packaging just illustrates you can mix-and-match, and can make a giant with any 4 limbs of any sub-group.

I'm happy we're getting two complete combiners in two Waves. They could have gone the evil route and introduced the third combiner in the second wave and leave the second hanging. I mean look at Energon:

Yea, but my biggest concern is if they will be accessible to find for purchase or else I'm gonna have to buy them complete on ebay or something. What's the release date? I can't find one.

Well it's not like there's a rule stating a character can only ever get one toy. But I'm guessing the idea here is:
a) the older Windcharger was hard to find, so another go at it should help
b) Tailgate was originally a retool of Windcharger, so they're kinda repeating it here (same with Gears and Swerve)

I'd have preferred Trypticon's minion Wipe-Out.

The US release date should be late December/Early January. Just a little longer...

This is weird: in the US they were only available individually. But in Japan, they were only available in giftsets. Superion and Bruticus were general retail, but Buildron (Constructicon Maximus) was a Toys 'R Us exclusive there.

My confusion is more about how much of a downgrade this new Windchanger is, not necessarily that he comes out. I for one wish there was a new legends wheelie, but I sure hope it would be better than the last. It's the hands that really get to me, it looks like such lazy design to have them simply be uncolored sculpts of the plastic.

I think they work out what's best for them money wise, plus he may get more page time in the combiner wars comic thus needs to be on the shelves somehow. Hasbro don't do things blindly, give them some credit

Ah. The Legends are a bit smaller than the old Scouts, so there'd be more limitations they'd have to deal with. Beyond that... well, I do think the designs haven't been quite so good since then, but that's an opinion and not an answer, heh.

The Ultra class version is still the best version and not just because he is bigger, but a lot more attention was paid to the design of the vehicle and bot modes.

15 steps, not bad. Its too bad he looks like a robot hiding under a jet in alt mode. Then again, a more expensive recent Leader sized jet (cough cough Jetfire cough)who doesn't have to become a cobiner torso looked the same so I couldnt expect too much.

When will Hasbro admit they're doing that just for nostalgia's sake?

I was thinking the same thing. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

To be fair, you don't have a lot of options with storage with a Concorde jet.

I'm over it now because I just want some new Insecticons, but does it bother anyone that Bombshell doesn't have any hands?

I believe you are correct. Looks like he's got molded fists holes for weapons.

Not bad but definitely the weakest Combiner Wars figure especially in alt mode but then again,it is a jet-former.
