MP-10 was a Leader-size figure. All Hasbro has to do is make a decently sized Leader Class figure that isn't a floppy, glorified Ultra Class and I will be a happy Fembot!

I had not thought of that, now I am super excited. I do really hope there is a way to plug the fusion cannon in his back to give a call back to his IDW version.

Never had him. Dumbest thing I ever passed on. After my experience with Skywarp I figured he would go on sale. Next thing I knew, he was gone. I didn't know at the time he was the retool either.

Actually you know what, ignore that. I just looked at them both and having Leader Thundercracker lined up with the MPs is perfect as it distinguished him from the other seekers while making him more aligned with the IDW look.

I actually preffer him over MP thundersracker.

Jetzy is 2 heads shorter.

I hope so too. I don't think it'll happen though, the treads will probably be too much of an obstacle. This new mould reminds me of this. The fusion cannon looks more like a thinner tank cannon than a big ol' barrell of death.



Also, I've just realised why the below image of Megatron looks really off. The cannon isn't even on the right part of his arm. It looks like he's almost holding it like a gun when it should be on the top of his forearm. Even the original promo shot had it on the side of the forearm rather than the top. I'm sure he'll look a lot better when his cannon is in the right place. Also, it'd help if you could angle the treads so that they face each other, like the above IDW pic. They look silly sitting behind his head.

In other photos it looks like that fusion canon is pinned on a sort of hinged swing arm made of red plastic. It can rotate out to the side of the arm so that it doesn't impede bicep articulation. I'm more hoping it looks a bit more like the classic fusion canon if it's rotated so the missile is facing backwards. Or if it can rotate on that pin at all.

Haha, but in all honesty, I think they will measure up pretty close because Jetfire is made more on the width side while I am sure Megatron has more height. I am very curious as to how they will package him because he would look like the perfect example of a toy better suited to be packaged in alt mode for space.

Thats a good idea. I think the whole thing is detachable. We've seen it on his arm and in his hand. Does the gun barrel look like it telescopes in and out?

EDIT: Just looked at all the pics on this page. It does telescope, but in the shot of Megs(just above) that appears to be the farthest in it goes.

Ah, cheers for that. Looks much better that way. Also, you can see that Armada Megs there has the purple gun plugged in to the top of his forearm, so it looks like there's a peg there. The cannon will look better there and it'll allow for better articulation at the elbow joint.

Unless, again, the photographer didn't know to push it in further. Especially if there is any kind of a soft "stop" in the mechanism, a photographer uninitiated into the intricacies of Transformers may not try to push past that point. There have been a few tricky telescoping tank cannons on Transformers toys in recent years too. I'll hold out hope until someone finally gets one of these in hand!

The more I look at the back end of that barrel, the more I'm hoping that it's hollowed out so you can just reverse the cannon around. That'll work for me.
