By cheating, using the pegs and windows merely as support: they just literally hang in there loosely more or less.
Again, the pegs in the Motormaster/Optimus Prime mold chest are only for the Blackjack mold. Trying to force other figures on those pegs can and will result in breakage, there have been instances of the Seeker hands breaking after attempts of pegging them in.

I feel closed definitely looks better than open and empty, but I also now find myself doubting Blackjack's merit. I think I might like the visible silver and purple truck components connecting to the arms.

I believe that's our first look of the compartment being closed. Certainly does call into question of Blackjack's necessity.
