Oooh, I want that Motormaster.

Do his weapons combine into some kind of giant sword? They look like they're supposed to.

Also, it probably would've been better to recolor Blackjack into Roller instead of Rodimus. He could attach to Optimus in his combined mode.

Why is it that the mold's proportions look fine and reasonable as Motormaster but balloonish and silly as Optimus?

Optimus' head is just a little too small, where as MM has traditionally had a smaller proportioned head?

Even discounting the box, his head didn't look that small to me:

I considered that, but I didn't take him to be that much beefier than Optimus. After all, Optimus did disguise himself as Motormaster in that one episode, and his mass didn't change that much when he took Motormaster's form.

I'm so torn. I love that robot mode, but no trailer is a big miss for me, he needs to go against Optimus for the 'King of the Road'

Well, he'd still be on even footing with Prime (moreso than his G1 toy was) since he's now the same size (and mold) as Optimus, and since Optimus also lacks a trailer. ;)

dunno if you see this as a good or a bad thing, but 3P might pick up the slack. some are hoping for an upgrade kit/trailer that also fixes his proportions in combined mode.

Maybe we're just used to different proportions on Prime toys where we don't have as many frames of reference for Motormaster. The only MM figure that isn't pretty much a straight Prime redco is the original G1 figure.

I mean, if you look at MM, his arms look kinda overlarge too but it's less jarring.

Yeah, I thought about that, but ever since I got MP-10, it seems kind of pointless to get another Optimus.
Has anyone posted new shots of Menasor's head? It was looking kind of strange, but that was just my first reaction.

Well, if you're using MP-10, Motormaster's Voyager size is gonna stand puny compared to MP-10's old Ultra/present Leader size.

This actually may be one of the few times I go 3p, other than Mania King and Ollie.

I'm excited about getting all the Stunticons. I love Drag Strip.

The Aerialbots. Not so much. Skydive and Fireflight are alright, but their plane modes are really kibbly. I get why they have to be, but it's still slightly annoying.

I liked how they were about the same size in both modes back in the cartoon (even if it made little sense without the size-changing excuse), making Motormaster somewhat of a prototypical Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime. 8)

I'd love to see that represented in the MP line, but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

Or at all, since Takara would have to dive into sorcery and witchcraft to be able to pull off the correct size-changing scale for both modes in comparison to MP-10. :P
