Edit: Except the Optibotimus part. His voice is like a swarm of bees in my ear.
I know Optibotimus gets irritating sometimes, but I'm perfectly fine with watching a new review from him for help with the transformation. Hey! Why don't we complain about Baltmatrix complaining about lack of paint in EVERY SINGLE REVIEW! -_-
Back to combiner wars, please.
Edit: I agree Optibotimus needs to tone down with the lighting, if I watch him for too long, my eyes start to hurt!

Its good to see Alpha Bravo where he belongs...
As a fully fledged member of the Aerialbots who can sub in at a moments notice?
Burn wrote:And that's the one thing I don't get.
Why is there so much hate towards Alpha Bravo, but people are perfectly fine with Powerglide being an Aerialbot, when he wasn't an Aerialbot back in the day?

I mean why was he a Combaticon? Are space shuttles combat vehicles?

Space Shuttles were cool back then.
Optimum Supreme wrote:I don't consider Powerglide an Aerialbot, though. It's much easier to ignore Powerglide as a gun and supposed Aerialbot since he's not making a limb or anything else integral to Superion. He's an extra, not taking anyone's place, and a fairly popular existing G1 character in his own right.

But with Alpha Bravo, unless you got in on the non mass retail Quickslinger, you're stuck with AB sitting there taunting you with his presence as not Slingshot, if you're a Slingshot/proper G1 Superion fan.
Some people don't care. Good for them. Others of us do. We have as much right to our opinion of AB as anyone else.
Stuartmaximus wrote:+ don't forget AB's repaint as Blades as one of the Protectobots! & maybe even a repaint/retool as Combaticon Vortex.
I think the lack of uproar over Powerglide is that he can be easily ignored. I don't feel the figure sacrificed anything to incorporate the gun mode, they didn't "Blackjack" him by making an integral part, and you can just easily sit him with the other Legends mini-bots instead of having Superion man-handle him.Burn wrote:The way I see it though, Alpha Bravo has been shoe-horned in as an Aerialbot, just as Powerglide has.
So I don't get why some people have so much hate towards Alpha Bravo for being introduced as an Aerialbot, when the exact same thing has been done to Powerglide but those same people don't seem to mention him. If people are going to hate on Alpha Bravo, then hate on Powerglide as well, he was NEVER an Aerialbot.

It's good to see people that want to be treated like adults but act like 5 year olds...

Powerglide isnt an aerialbot. That is unless you care about a bio on the back of a card written in 3 languages. I never even tried the gun mode. Never will, its dumb looking. Superion already comes with a gun.
But to entertain your statement, ill say this...Hasbro didnt paint powerglide to resemble an aerielbot and shove him down our throats. Powerglide is OPTIONAL and always was. Alpha Bravo wasnt always optional. Thankfully now he is.
Ill even go out on a limb (pun intended) and say slingshot was always planned after the alpha bravo scandal. Look at the wings of an AV-8 Harrier vs. the wings of an F-4 Phantom. The wings angle down from the top of the Harrier just like the Fireflight mold. Even the tail resembles a Harrier more than a Phantom. So in reality the mold was meant to be slingshot. Fireflight is the repaint.

Hasbro didn't paint Alpha Bravo to resemble an Aerialbot either. His colors aren't Silngshot's colors. Slingshot was white and red, not white and orange.Rated X wrote:Hasbro didnt paint powerglide to resemble an aerielbot and shove him down our throats.

I usually dont watch reviews until I have the figure in hand. I use the review as the instructions. Especially for complex 3rd party stuff. If someone is going to break their figure treating it like some kind of puzzle, it wont be me I let the reviewers take one for the team and figure out the hard stuff. My satisfaction comes from displaying it on my shelf, not figuring it out on my own.
