Actually, I'd say go for it.
I've had a few bad customer service experiences with them, but this was how I got my skids, gears, cosmos and brainstorm.
Their stock is imports, so it's not in any danger of really vanishing like the euro versions. Their prices are generally fairly reasonable too.
Just be wary that the wave might be delayed without them letting you know.

After much deliberation I rejected the Forbidden Planet, favouring an old haunt instead but their US website...

My guess is, since Rodimus is mostly obscured by the yellow weapon in the cover artwork, the comic artist didn't realize that the red part of the chest on the cover is supposed to be Rodimus, mistaking it for Optimus's closed combiner chest and thinking the inclusion of the yellow weapon is the only difference between the chest on the cover and the chest inside the comic. Therefore, the closed chest inside the comic is still red while the Optimus Maximus toy is assumed to have it colored white.

So.... If anyone with the extra cash can, think about grabbing an extra wave 2 figure and helping out a mate across the pond by selling without mark-up.
They shouldn't have to suffer for poor ordering by their retailers.

(Also, the RI covers do never represent what is actually taking place in the comic, or even the comicsverse in general. They're just pieces of art used on the cover of a comic, and the current batch are the Hasbro packaging art from the Combiner Wars line.)

Right. I forgot to mention that, with Rodimus not being in Combiner Wars, the interior artist might not have been aware of the cover art depicting a feature of the toy and could have mistaken the mostly-obscured Rodimus for Optimus's natural combiner chest, resulting in its being colored red while the rest of the torso gets colored in proper Optimus Maximus colors.

I'm just going to wait for Auto Assembly, to be honest.
Had several bad experience with Forbidden Planet, and would rather give my money to an actual retailer or a comic book shop, rather than them.

That's what's nice @ seibertron. Each member "assists" each other with references of good or rotten commercial services by online retailers.

I'm subscribed to this thread to not just to discuss the figures, but also an online retailer's sales practices. Very "relevant" to the topic at hand. Food for thought to some snarky members who thinks otherwise that such discussions be confined to PMs.

As one good turn deserves another in creating good karma by helping others. Wish we had more constructive inputs like this.

To the best of my understanding, here's what happened with the European stores.

They ordered a bunch of CW at the beginning. At that time, wave 1 was shipping out.
That stuck around for a long time.
Hasbro switched to offering wave 2 cases for order, but no orders came in from european markets because the retailers were still dredging through their wave 1 stuff.
When the retailers finally got rid of enough wave 1 stuff to order more CW toys, they put in an order, and by this point Hasbro was selling wave 3 cases.

I don't think Hasbro offers specifically wave 1, 2, 3, etc cases as a choice, they just switch periodically and if a store misses it, oh well. I may be wrong.

That's what I've been saying on a previous page.

Also, it's not really overordering that's the problem. At most I've seen two whole cases of figures per Size Class on the shelf here: 8 Deluxes and 4 Voyagers per case. Stores only put one case or less on display on average depending on shelf space allotted and store location (our space is limited, so 1 case per Class per store is the norm), but when the line ends and everything has to be cleared, everything is out. My local store, being on a smaller town, is super careful and only has 2 of each Class out and they move really slowly. Ever since they were put out months ago, I've seen sold:

1 Silverbolt
1 Windcharger
1 Alpha Bravo

...and replaced with Optimus Prime and Drag Strip. So it's not a problem of ordering too many, they're simply not selling fast enough here.

Looking at these pictures and what HasTak did with Cyclonus, it would have made so much more sense for them to make a white CW Optimus that turns into Ultra Magnus when combined. Blackjack's axe would have been a good stand-in for Ultra Magnus's chest piece if colored blue. Just make Blurr the Blackjack repaint, slap a redeco'd Superion head on instead of the Ultra Prime head, and BAM, White Optimus turns into Ultra Magnus when combined.

That said, I'm much happier getting a proper Leader Magnus out of this.

Some of you people are so alarmist it scares me.

If you order 2-3 deluxes from amazon.com, with international shipping and a customs deposit (SO NO POST OFFICE/PARCELFORCE CHARGES) it comes to about £56. That's about £18.50 per figure. Slow postage, maybe 8-12 days, but you WILL get the toys.

Air Raid is in stock on amazon right now.

The scalpers aren't going to go crazy with all of this, theyre £15 figures for heavens sake. Seriously, that's an urban myth perpetuated by lazy clueless people that want toys presented to them on a plate.

And since many of you have sat with your thumbs up your butts for the last 3 months and are now panicking like children, I feel little sympathy.

Learn to rely on more than just ebay, and stop assuming everything will hit stores in vast numbers, its STUNNINGLY naïve given oh... THE LAST 20 YEARS!!! You can easily pick all of these figures up, right now, if you have to pay £2-3 extra, its not going to kill you. Even better, it will stop the complaining. But be more observant because this has been rumoured for MONTHS!

We managed not getting the figures at retail for years, exercise some initiative.

Moving forward, I can confirm an order has just been placed with Amazon.com for a CW Air Raid with shipping over to the United Kingdom for £17.86 ($26.26) which I am really pleased about.
Once Air Raid arrives that will be my first of the new Combiner Wars gestalts completed!

If all goes well with the Amazon order I may order a couple more which will help if there is problems sourcing Wave 2 Deluxes.

Erm I thought America already HAD Menasor out already? so why are you rubbing the Brits nose in it! & btw as for the UK not getting Wave 2.....that's only if you believe the pish that Hasbro UK tells you! coz they previously said that the UK wasn't getting any Leader Class figures.....& lo & behold.....We eventually got the Leader Class Megatrons! so I would take what Hasbro UK are saying...with a pinch of salt.....but.....even if Wave 2 DOES eventually come out in the UK.....it'll probably not now be til August/September or maybe even October sometime.

I forget who, but there was a picture and comment about how you can remove the combiner pegs outer shell and use Alpha Bravo as a massive gun for Superion ala Powerglide. It actually looked like it worked pretty well too

Well, I have the 5 original members of the team plus Powerglide. Since technically Alpha Bravo is a member of the team, even if not original, I am contemplating purchasing him, but only if I can find an use for him as some part of or accessory for Superion, much like Powerglide. I wonder if I could attach him to Superion's back in helicopter mode.
