I designed what I call QuadPlay Ports that my 3D printer will print out. They are two pieces that snap around Motormaster / Prime's thighs, and provide a port for CW limbs to plug into. Check em out in my IncrediPlugs thread http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/incrediplugs-cw-extended--t104373.php!
With as chunky as Combiner Wars limbs are, I don't see how to do six, and have them move independently. Four was pushing it.

Thanks! Now, we just need Streetwise repainted into Barricade, and we could have a true full set with no one feeling left out. Looks at Off Road.

So. Let's get this over with.
I recently got three figures that I'm rather pleased with.
I got my replacement Drag Strip, for one. Still missing his sword, though.
I also got Offroad, who I'm VERY happy with.
For some reason, his legs are really hard to transform on mine. Too loose.
Aside from this, I'm glad to have a character who I can pretend sounds like David Hayter as Solid Snake.
And, last but not least, Dead End.
Not much to say about this. He's a damn pretty figure.

That's pretty slick. Wish I had a 3D printer. Though I'd design a replacement for TFA Swoop's weapon, a two-handed, double-ended lance
Looks like another slew of sightings for the Protectobot limb figures. And almost all of them in North Carolina. Hope that means they'll be coming out west soon.
Funny thing is that HasbroToyShop.com has given me a number of promo codes for future purchases, but ALL of them expire in a couple of days - even though the purchases including the code coupons were made several months apart. What's the point of giving customers promo codes that are only valid for a couple of days? I'm not going to use them to buy stuff I don't want, just so they're not 'wasted'... Hope they hurry up and post the Protectobot deluxes

In order for my purchases to count towards UK/EU stock triggers, I need to buy in store.
That means I should stop pre-ordering online at Kapow or TFExpress, and start going out on the hunt.
But then if I don't preorder a wave, I end up potentially missing out OR having to pay scalper prices to catch up.
It's a bit of a catch 22.
Anyway. So begins the great Air Raid shortage of 2015.
This is already happening. Scalpers are rubbing their hands.
Forgive my ignorance (I'm just getting back into Transformers after a couple decades), but why not just pre-order a UW-01 from an etailer and get the entire set together all at once? It cuts down on the shipping and import fees of multiple smaller orders, and you'll get it all together. I get that UW-01 will be slightly different in some colorations from Superion's Hasbro released Combiners, but if anything it should be more authentic to the comics/cartoon, and I believe it comes with all 5 jets including Air Raid.

Well its because he said he wants his purchase to count for european retailers. If he buys the UW 01 then he helps contribute in a small way to the lack of demand to hasbro figures in the UK.

Stunticons:
I love MM and there's no doubt in my mind that he was the one meant for that mold. Dragstrip is stylish, Breakdown is boxy and fun, and both are equally pretty great. Deadend LOOKS great till you get to the feet... but its a big point of contention for me, which subsequently hurts Breakneck as well. Offroad is in a league of his own and is the standout member of the team for me.
Menasor:
BD is way too bulky as an arm, DS looks terrific as an arm, Offroad as an arm brings some much needed blue to the Gestalt, and DE just kinda falls into place as a leg by default. So for me, Breakneck becomes the outcast.

Aerialbots:
Silverbolt is... Silverbolt
Superion:
All limbs are pretty interchangeable, so its really just what color coordination you prefer. I only have two issues though. AB's propeller throws off the look for me. And while QS looks amazing, his snow white really clashes with Silverbolt's off-white. So while Superion looks great, it just leaves me clamoring for UW-01.

Yeah, I'm hoping UW-01 goes for more consistent whites/off-whites across the set so Superion ties together a little better. Those who don't want that already have the Hasbro version or can mix/match their arms & legs Combiners between them accordingly. At least having the option for a set with consistent colored white would be nice.

I agree on Alpha Bravo throwing everything off, but the solution isn't to get rid of AB... it's to get a second one!
Also, on this pic:

Uhg. I couldn't agree more. It's why I see no need to get Redneck. Plus we have Streetwise and Prowl sharing this foot look.shajaki wrote:Deadend LOOKS great till you get to the feet... but its a big point of contention for me, which subsequently hurts Breakneck as well.
Again, I couldn't agree more. There is just something about him that tickles my fancy bone. MegaT is right about the shoulder "paldrons", but I like him so much I'm willing to over look them. I've almost considered getting another set of 4 ORs to roll with Galvatronus.shajaki wrote:Offroad is in a league of his own and is the standout member of the team for me.
I'm also a big fan of Drag Strip. Is he not getting any love because he's old news?
Great photos BTW.
Maybe it's just a reflection of my current station in life, but this looks like two parents watching their kids scuffle over a toy.

And ya, whats up with no Blackjacks in Canada?
Edit: never mind. Plus now I remember you got 'im jak.

It really does. I took the pics in my basement/family room instead of the upstairs living room (where I usually photog) and the lighting is much different.megatronus wrote:Also, on this pic:

I've heard about that about Offroad before. I think the arms have to tab in on an angle and not perpendicular to the windshield.

This configuration is still the best. From the vintage to the latest incarnation.
