Wish I had more Sweeps....

Uh, so. I'm one arm away from completing Menasor, and I'm really looking forward to it.

The only problem is, I can't get Menasor into a decent looking pose for all the tea in China. Using just the normal hand/foot pieces and the 'correct' combination, are there any tips to getting better posing ability out of Menasor?

Sure, extend his legs to make him taller, and turn the hips outwards a bit, that will bring his feet closer together and give a balanced midpoint. These are the poses I was able to get:

but tbh...I seriously doubt that Hasbro UK will do Wave 1, 2 & maybe 3, figures repainted as the G1 Dinos! but it's a nice idea.....& would've been a way around them not bringing out any Beast Combiners.

G2 Superion and Menasor, as well as Victorion, are not taking up any release slots from non-redeco toys. They will be exclusive box sets of some type. The former two in particular are of course "canon" redecos, in the sense of being homages to the way the original toys were redecoed, a la the seekers. I feel they are an unfair card to play when trying to assert that the line is nothing but redecoes.

There's no excuses for Scattershot though.

I'm glad to finally find someone with similar thinking to myself on this issue(thanks), everyone else seems to be against the idea, but I still say Hasbro UK won't be doing this! even though I'd love to see those repainted like that.

i'm fine with repaints that make sense but those for a dinobot combiner are lazy and terrible. if they're gonna do something as awesome as a dinobot combiner they need to do it right. like the 3rd party one.

You're lucky because I'm one Motormaster away from completing mine. I have the same problem posing Prime.

I don't know where you live, but bbts (and everyone else) has him up for pre-order as he is dumb-core prime's wavemate >:oP

I don't know if there is any specific threads about the latest Generations (or should that be AOE) Legions - But I was curious what stores actually sell them - are they always $7.00 or so or more or less than that ?

I was thinking about getting the latest wave since I quite like that White & blue classics mini-Ultra Magnus enough to think about importing one.

But people don't seem to mention them often, anyone got anything to contribute on that topic at all ?

I like them I think they complement base bots well and that can only be more the case as Titan Wars comes along in 2016.

Battle-Core Optimus really was a wast. I get they couldn't do Magnus with his leader-class figure but is there really that few semi truck Transformers? No Thunder Clash, Soundwave, Nemesis Prime/Scourge, or Nova Prime? Heck, I'd rather have seen them do it as Huffer or Pipes than @ Optimuses (Optimi?) from the same mold in 1 year!

Agreed, the mold is, as it is with so many Optimus molds, best as anybody but Optimus.

I'd say that you're getting 'worked up' an appropriate amount. There really is no excuse for two o/p of the same mold in a year, when as you said there is no end to the number of characters that this could have been made into.

Personally, I don't want anymore of this atrocious mold, but it would have been nice to see them make something halfway decent out of it, instead of o/p #2 :roll:

I passed on the first use of the mold as Optimus, as I knew I'd be picking up the Motermaster version. I am thinking of picking up the BattleCore version to use as Nova Prime.

I don't mind repaints/retools, but why use big names like Prowl and co which might annoy fans and instead use less known characters.

As a true fan, I believe that the mold was originally intended for Motormaster and Star Convoy. Then sometime early on, someone said "kids won't recognize this as Optimus prime"

And one of the designers was like; "**** you're right, and hasbro likes there to be lots of primes and bumblebees on the shelves. Since bumblebee's dead in IDW, double up on the prime! We can't just repaint it, uh let's give it a new head referencing something"

"We haven't done war within prime!"

"Ugh, but war within sucked. Anything better?"

"Well, there was that creepy, dead eyed, soulless Powermaster Optimus Prime animatronic. You know the one. The one with the kid that was like never seen or heard of again."

and that's how we got combiner wars wave one prime.

From the consumer point of view it would be nice to not have to keep being subjected to Hasbro's latest attempt to keep the likes of the name Prowl active and in use current quite so often as currently happens though.
