figured out what i am going to do with him though and his team: Wheeljack shall be brought over to Optimus Maximus and replace Mirage, with Prowl being moved to leg position and Wheeljack to arm alongside Streaker. then Mirage, Hound, Smoke and Trailbreaker can all be standalone's on my Lost Light Shelves and can combine with cyclonus periodically. sky Lynx shall be off by himself as a standalone with occasional combining with either OM's team or the Lost Lighters. Will look pretty sweet![]()
Aww, I'm gonna set him up with hound, and rook as arms, and first-aid/ironhide, and ironhide/trailbreaker as legs; he's gonna be ripped
That combination would be an incredibly beefy guy! guess that scramble city style stuff really is fun!![]()
It's why I've always like combiners more than anything, I only got the constructicons and a couple combaticons from energon, so that wasn't a lot of fun... That's why I swore when the line started, that I was gonna go for a near complete collection for cw.

I never intended to get them all, but in the end, I will get all 6 retail teams plus Cyclonus, Devy, Victorion, and any Computron they make in the future. I am turning down this Scattershot unless I need to get him at a later date, AKA they announce independent limbs. I would so buy and appreciate a box set though.
Man, 8 combiners for sure. I feel slightly overwhelmed by the thought.....

Yeah, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but, I gotta get me that G2 bruticus, that is just pure 90's right there, I need it in my life (I gotta get a bruticus at some point, right)

Well yeah. Given how many attempts they have made at making a good Bruticus, and how good this one appears to be, You need to get at least one. and why not G2? The colors would be very different and it isn't mass retail, so why now, dare I say why not?

Wow, someone has been watching a bunch of Emgo lately.

no job, little money, tuition bills...
Yeah, I might be double dipping on bruticus, depending on how he is distributed, and how much he is.

didn't say you had to double dip, but G2 might not be a bad choice for the lone Bruticus

I do hope you have Super Gobots Spay-C in your collection. He's an amazing guy with a very advanced design for it's time.
If you don't have it, he's very cheap and easy to find. Don't miss out!
Oh yeah, you also have that tiny Gobot. I don't have it so I can't tell how good it is. I'll stumble on it one day.

SkyLynx could be a snobbish, obnoxious, know-it-all, but pitting him against stupid, brutish, Decepticon dullards was brilliant! Making him the larger, smarter suedo-triple-changing-Dinobot was unexpectedly entertaining as well.
My brother owns the G1 toy, and I kind of wanted one back then, but I was contented with my Omega Supreme. This new Combiner Wars version has hit a nostalgia-nerve and piqued my interest. Is he as large as I'd like? No. Do I wish he had a proper separate Lynx-mode? Yes. But that doesn't stop me from liking and wanting this new version either.
Before I even knew about Transformers, I was in love with the Space Shuttle. Back then, every test launch and landing made "Special Report" News on TV. Gobots Spay-C was a first and favorite shuttle-bot of mine until Astrotrain came along one Birthday, and blew my mind. G1 SkyLynx is the best, most accurate transforming Space Shuttle to date, rivaled only slightly by Galaxy Shuttle and Super-Spay-C. Armada Jetfire makes for a nice, but chubby modern take on the design, as does CHUG Astrotrain, but none come as close to the real thing.
This is a modern version of the iconic Space Shuttle made doubly cool by the mere fact it emulates an equally iconic G1 character & toy, and I'll happily welcome him to my collection. I only wonder what enhancements Takara will add to theirs, possibly a brighter white, or (less likely) a separate Lynx mode? Either way, I can't wait. (And doesn't his Sky Reign Lynx head give him a certain Egyptian quality, as if he were an homage to their god Maahes or goddess Mysis?)
