It looks fine, a nice addition if you don't own a G1 version, but it doesn't look like a major improvement over the original. The torso mode doesn't interest me very much so I'm going to wait until reviews start rolling in before I can decide if it's worth getting.

Eck, this guy's kinda like the recent Sky-Byte, where the new figure isn't particularly better than the original, it's just... different. It went against a more realistic alt mode and less clunky robot modes, and ditched the distinctive two-beast feature to make him yet another generic combiner torso. Meh.

The main selling point is that we're not likely to see another Sky Lynx any time soon, and that's a terrible reason to buy something.

Wouldn't it be Boss if the anthropomorphic form (i.e. combiner form of his) had a Golionesque head (humanoid face) like Leokaiser instead just the lynx beast head?

Being a torso kind of ruined this figure. Hope third partys can help save it.

although being a combiner and forming the body is a fun idea and it looks kind of neat i think i would rather have it like the bird and cat as separate forms that combine into one larger form have each one be the size of a leader and the two combined would make for a very imposing Skylinx

... these are all good points and they've ruined my excitement for this figure. Also that GAPING HOLE in the middle hurts.

I must admit I was more enthusiastic about this guy when he was first announced, will still get him nonetheless. I have silver bolt and not a huge fan of the remoulds thus far...

The G1 Original is pretty awesome. And the size is great! Scales really well with Legends TFs.

I feel the exact same way. I've never felt any need for the G1 figure, but the CW fig is on the want list.

Sky Lynx is a bit of an odd turducken to me. The only thing I know about the character is that brief appearance in the current RID comics. I'm quite a few issues behind at his point and to the best of my knowledge he is still MIA.

Well off to the tf wiki to get my learn on.

Bit of a let down hat he won't be able to separate, but I'll still get him regardless, Skylynx is one of my favorites. I'm still hoping the only thing necessary to take him apart is a few screws or pins, and then it would be easy to make him split.

Loving the look. I am super excited for this guy to hit my desk. The fanmode does look neat, but I'm perfectly happy with the regular robot mode. The combined mode also looks amazing!!

figured out what i am going to do with him though and his team: Wheeljack shall be brought over to Optimus Maximus and replace Mirage, with Prowl being moved to leg position and Wheeljack to arm alongside Streaker. then Mirage, Hound, Smoke and Trailbreaker can all be standalone's on my Lost Light Shelves and can combine with cyclonus periodically. sky Lynx shall be off by himself as a standalone with occasional combining with either OM's team or the Lost Lighters. Will look pretty sweet

It's why I've always like combiners more than anything, I only got the constructicons and a couple combaticons from energon, so that wasn't a lot of fun... That's why I swore when the line started, that I was gonna go for a near complete collection for cw.
