btw hate to nitpick here(i know....lol...what else is new) but shouldn't Computron ALSO be on the United Warriors thread? coz as i understand it....there's to be no individual CW releases AFTER Sky Reign! as they're all(including Computron) to be box set only releases.

No, this is a CW release by hasbro, until TT gets the molds, and decides to actually release a UW computron, this stays right here

The way I understand them doing this is that they needed another Torso so they went with Scattershot in a Cyclonus style where he takes up extra limbs and can use intelligence and speed to get those limbs back into battle. they also called him Betatron because he was the beta test for Computron, whom now is only seeing a box set release, like Victorion and possibly Liokaiser. It is also predicted that he will have dedicated hands and feet due to him being a box set

It's not a necessary thing to waste money on changing and if you really want to use a gun from another figure heck something like AOE Hound's huge minigun would be great on a combiner actually can anyone take any photos of that I'm curious on how badass that would look?

Yeah, that one was yellow. But the retail FOC Combaticons were intentionally in loud, saturated colors that weren't their correct ones.

I mentioned earlier that there's definitely elements of both in the artwork. That being said I feel comfortable enough that I would bet money on him using the Wheeljack mold.

They were sub-licensed for adult collector fans by a different company. Theyve had them for about three years now..

Those are clearly toys representing the 80s show, not the 2015 movie. As you yourself said, they've been out for a few years.

Unite Warriors is a Takara toyline. The distinguishing element between Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors is the name, not the release format. Combiner Wars can and will release full box sets just like Unite Warriors, but they're still Combiner Wars because they're called Combiner Wars and made by Hasbro. The fact that Unite Warriors was only box sets is irrelevant to the difference.

It's unfortunate the Fan-Vote Combiner was done so early. There were so few molds to choose from then - remember how the firetruck/motorcycle choice was a big tease back then? Only four torsos to choose from, and for limbs it was, what? Three types of car, three types of jet, an off-road vehicle, and a helicopter.

Now for the torso we'd have a semi, a firetruck, an artillery truck, and three types of jet (so, six choices instead of 3), and for limbs it'd be four types of car, two types of off-road vehicle, two types of tank, an armored personnel carrier, a military utility vehicle, and a motorcycle (so, 11 choices instead of 4). Victorion could look quite different.
