To everyone hoping for proper Technobots, don't count on them just yet. Scattershot is indeed Onslaught's Wave 1 case mate and since Wave 1 is focusing on Combaticons, and Wave 2 is focusing on Sky Reign, there's no place for them. Plus, Betatron has already been revealed at SDCC2015 with these "official" limbs:

Image

Official art and all. That's it for Hasbro's side. However, TakaraTomy may do more with him, all retools at the very least. I could see Lightspeed from Wheeljack, Afterburner from Groove... maybe Nosecone out of Brawl (drill tanks are quite common in some Japanese series) and Strafe from new-mold Blast Off?

@SillySpringer: Motormaster will receive or has received a so-called running change for Voyager Wave 4: he's Battle Core Optimus Prime's case mate. So he'll receive the fixed ratchets too, as well as, hopefully, the future Unite Warriors Optimus Maximus.

By the by, does Unite Warriors Grand Scourge have them too?
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

I presume they mean the newest version of mm that is the wavemate of bcop, the old one is 'discontinued' due to this problem, so they could make the running change, since no one got any re-stock of wave 2.

Yes, we are talking about the new ones that are coming out alongside BC Prime. the old ones will be sticking around, but there are new ones out there that fix the hips, and yes they are hasbro :BOT:

We're not really counting on we are actually getting them as we are really hoping for them. Seibs was talking about all this enigmatic babble coming from Hasbro on how this was the "beta" version and there is potential new stuff coming, so that's where we are at this point. and we cannot expect much, considering reveals have been shown dating up to 9 months from now, so who knows whats coming :BOT:

Anyways, that is good news! I had no idea that BC OP came with Motormaster in the same wave, I guess that would explain all of those Motormaster and BCOP 2 packs on BBTS!

Ooooh, I might just have to check him out then, I really do love the G2 stunticon color palettes, it just somehow works really nicely, and if he can stand at attention, I would totally go in for a Menaor :D

Ya, I REALLY don't need a second Menasoar, but those colors look good, and the blue hands and feet are cool, and I don't have Break Neck. It would be cool to have another sword. There is this little voice in the back of my head going, you need more Cons. You need more Cons. It would be cool to have more limbs. You need more Cons.

Not to mention now that they've fixed them, why would they undo it for a future version even if they could?

Rook is an awesome little guy. I have heard many reviewers say he is the winner of the wave and really makes an awesome arm. Big and bulky, good for an awesome punch. Besides: First Aid looks better as a let than as an arm :BOT:

Speaking of awesome punches, I love how he can use Defensor's hand as a Hellboy-style giant fist.

And Rook is a great arm, but he's a pretty good leg, too.

The Hulk hands may be my favorite use of combiner kibble ever. and while he is a very stable leg, I just wish he could form the knee-pad styled look. Now on Bruticus that will work considering there is literally no feet jutting out the side, but on Defensor I just wish that top piece could rotate to form the knee-pad :BOT:

Just finished opening the other 3 '84 combiner limbs. I really like all of them, Prowl is so much nicer than my two-toned streetwise, and I like the contrast of the bright white and black. His head sculpt is just exquisite; plus 3 barreled shotgun 8-)

Streaker is as nice as I thought he would be, he rocks this mold along with his really nice color-scheme. Plus, his head sculpt is soo nice, easily one of my favorites; and, of course, love that gun-sword :michaelbay:

Ironhide is just a decent use of the mold. Very indifferent, but I don't dislike him. I think it is a fitting update, and I can totally see him storing a bunch of weapons and explosives in his backpack.

I really want a Materror from movie brimstone. Off-lime-green and the flames and rims picked out in pastel metallic purple :x

Just combined my '84 figures with hotspot, and man does it bulk defensor out - so much - thinkin' 'bout using first-aid (leg), rook (arm), mirage (arm) and ironhide (leg) next.

Ya know, you could do the hypothetical situation where Blades needs to provide air support so Mirage takes his place. fits the Lost Light perfectly since those are crew members :D :BOT:

Ya know, you could do the hypothetical situation where Blades needs to provide air support so Mirage takes his place. fits the Lost Light perfectly since those are crew members :D :BOT:

Blades will never be used, except in concert with a/b cuz he ends up lookin' like a stick limb when paired with any of the bulkier limbs, it was such a turn off for me on defensor.

One shall be scrawny, one shall be brawny mi amigo.

At least you have others to take that role. Prowl would work considering the deco ;) :BOT:

Just finished doing that, he is so massive! There's a nice chunky squareness to them all, and it really adds a certain heft to him, it's great :michaelbay:

It's now official; with the addition of the '84 figures, I have no room to store them on my foot by foot and a half space on my desk for the spare limbs and combined figures...

I really like the silver plastic on the hand/foot weapons, it adds a distinction to the hand and the gauntlet. It really makes it look more like a hand in armor rather than a deformed hand.
