Looking at Brawl's box art, it seems that it is just a mistransformation.

Me and thruster are discussing the takara release, which will be a box set. I realize how that can get people confused since this is the wrong thread for such a discussion. Sorry for the confusion, it will end here.

As you can see from the photos in the most recent article, Hasbro' Bruticus will be released as individual figures.

I'm pretty pumped about Bruticus. Brawl was my first combiner, along with Slingshot (in the same purchase, if my memory serves.) I'd love to wait on Takara's set with what appears to be a more proper Blast-Off, but I am a stickler for completing my comic collection, so I will probably pick up the Hasbro CW offering too. (Speaking of that, I haven't been able to pick up the wave 1 figures with comics. Any one hear anything outside of the one Drag Strip packed in with Wave 2?)

As for Brawl mistransformation, if you go back a page or three, it was discussed, complete with a promo pic that has the turret in a good configuration. It makes me wonder, however, if the turret only slides forward or if it also turns. I do not recall a pic showing it turning...

They never released that wave 1 figures with comics. I do wonder something though, arent the comics reprints of previously issued comics? Yeah, I can find the originals without a problem. It's a weird collector (read: pack-rat, if you listen to my wife) thing where I try to collect everything in a series. I have all of the SW 25th anniversary figures, for example. I'd love the Wave 1 comics, complete with Hasbro exclusive art.

I'm a little disappointing that Onslaught has the same guns at Hot Spot, or rather he doesn't extra guns. I feel like since that's his alt mode he should have cannons built in and the hand guns as extra.

And yes I would like to see some extra Decepticon limbs even if they're just repaints just to swell up the ranks and give Galvatronus something to work with. There's still a lot of guys that could use new toys.

If it's Galvatron, you could have Scourge, Hook, Line, Sinker or Sideways as limbs. Go for a heralds theme.

Or you could have the limbs be Bombshell, Skywarp, Snow Cat, and Life Spark, for a combiner made up of Cyclonus and guys who either used to be him or will later be him.

And I also think that it'd be cool if they made Combiner Wars versions of Leobreaker and Nemesis Breaker. They'd be great "filler" limbs if nothing else, and Cybertron (the series, not the planet) needs some love.

He looks good but gorilla arms prevent me from any of smaller combiner arms and hands are bigger than legs and feet

Btw I LOVE the fact that Brawl actually used his turret gun as a rifle in robot mode!

I love how Swindle and Brawl integrate their weapons so well into their vehicle modes.

How does that make sense? I bought some combiners but not others because I didnt personally care for them. Its not an all or nothing, especially with Scramble city. It's pick and choose

Based on past experiences, I'd expect online retailers to get pre-orders up before too much longer. I make an educated guess that Hasbro will get Bruticus out for Christmas, based on last year's releases and news thus far this year.

The photos had an watermark web address on them with the suffix .vn. I'm gonna take a guess here and go with, that stands for Vietnam. So to answer your question, THE FACTORY where they are made. Dude probably works there and wore a really big coat to work. 'cause it gets really cold in Vietnam.

All Takara have done is tease some sketches.
Until they actually confirm, a shuttle Blast-off is just speculation.

I disagree. It is one thing to dig and find a prototype image of a toy but in this case this is the head designer telling us he is working on Blast Off on twitter. I fail to understand how that is not a confirmation. When hasbro told us we would be getting combiners, that was a confirmation we were getting combiners. I dont see this being any different.

Think as you wish, we are getting a takara shuttle blast off. The only question left is if it will be exclusive or not.

Just because the head designer says he's working on something, it doesn't mean it will come to fruition. I could be pulled at any moment for any number of reasons, especially if its a decision from another dept. ie finance or management. Things get pulled all the time in business, regualrly without warning.

Yeah plus its not speculation its just we know its gonna happen since u know what they did with groove their obviously gonna do a new blast off

This is like the worst case of denial Ive ever seen. The head designer has it in the works. That’s confirmed. Takara is all about G1. That is their business. They delivered with a proper Groove. A proper Blast Off is coming. Its not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.

And for the Technobots, expect similar massive retools on the same scale as Nightbird/Blackarachnia/Slipstream…

Nosecone – Brawl retool
Afterburner – Groove retool
Strafe – Fireflight retool
Lightspeed – Dead End retool

Now that’s just speculation of course, but the fact that Takara is finally doing their own thing beyond just shiny paint and the MP line is real…

I would lrefer actually nosecone being remolded from air raid because when you flip him upside down with all the wings up you will see why yes afterburner would be remolded from groove or not idk but it probably would i would hope for strafe to get a new mold same with lightspeed also scattorshot should get a new mold because in honesty we want a new torso for computron
