Toys should not be used as an investment, or a future college fund, you know that!

I'm sure of it. I just hope CW G2 Slingshot will stay in one piece this time around.

I could see groove being a hot commodity on ebay, if the set was bought just to sell groove, that's a lot of money to make up for; same could be said for any future TT exclusive limb packaged only in a box set. I can foresee a lot of grooves hitting ebay for $200 immediately upon arrival

Those poor legless/armless Defensors. ...I'll have to start a charity up for them to cope without their missing member, Gone Groove
Seriously though I agree that not many will have great value until about five years later as supply is much greater, seemingly with every new line they've launched.

Well, speaking of the cw line, outside of the superfluous newly combining figures, the aerialbots and such can't technically have good updates, as they were combiners to begin with, so any future updates would require them to also be a combiner. I mean you can have the old universe silverbolt if you really want just him, but as far as combiner figures go, these will probably be the definitive versions of them for quite a while.

He wouldnt be that much because you can buy the whole set for that amount.

So basically everyone is Sideways?

Nice thought, but the colors are probably a little too close to Mirage's.
Speaking of Mirage, how about recoloring him into Skid-Z?ZeroWolf wrote:To be honest the next line I thought they were going to do after combiner wars was either a beast wars anniversary line or a line based on the plot currently in the comics were they are establishing contact with the different colonies ergo possibility for different styles within the line.
A Beast Wars anniversary line? Yeah, I wish. We got a couple BW figures in the 25th anniversary part of Universe, a small handful of them in Thrilling 30, so if the pattern holds, I'm not so sure they'll do more before 2019. They didn't do anything for the BW 15th, I'd be displeased but not surprised if they ignored the 20th too.
And isn't that second one kinda like Cybertron without the keys?Rodimus Prime wrote:How do you guys think the value of these CW figures will change in the next 4-5 years? Alpha Bravo, Offroad, and especially Rook (whose mold was never reused without heavy changes) will go up because of the people who didn't get them initially, and Viper seems to be getting released in somewhat smaller quantities compared to his wavemates (and won't be included in the next wave too like they will), so I expect he might become pricey.
william-james88 wrote:By the way guys. Shartimus Prime had an interview with Jerry Jivoin and the main designer at Hasbro and they said there would be some new combiner wars molds post Skyreign. I freaken hoped they would and it would have sucked if they didnt, but at least we know now that we will not just be getting retools and redecos all year.

Think there's a chance we're getting another torso figure? New limbs only?
An entire NEW team worth of figures???
I don't think it's really going to happen, but since I want more Decepticons,
I'm hoping it's Abominus.

My sneaking suspicion is that BW will be part of a boxed set or will be the Souvenir set but not the whole thing.
Oddly, what springs to mind there for me is a vehicle mode Bat Primal from Ratbat/Scourge and a vehicle mode Gatortron from Sgt. Kup.
Interestingly, based on the toy bios, this would probably position these characters as Beast Wars era incarnations (clones or otherwise) of G1 Prime and Megatron who underwent beast alterations. Or they might be repurposed as new characters.
I know there are other BW characters who might get decos but I suspect the con exclusives will veer towards the Bat/Gator homage while the club sub will get more popular characters from the show.
But since he brought it up, if Fun Pub were to do something BW-related for 2016, I could see them doing a Beast Wars: Uprising set to go along with more of that universe's storyline to come (at least three more text stories are coming, with the third one--counting the first two that already came out--being titled "Burning Bridges", and the fifth one called "Trigger Warnings" which will also include the Predacon Wolfang).Nemesis Primal wrote:RodimusRex wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:To be honest the next line I thought they were going to do after combiner wars was either a beast wars anniversary line or a line based on the plot currently in the comics were they are establishing contact with the different colonies ergo possibility for different styles within the line.

I was kinda talking about what Hasbro would do, not FunPub, but okay.
