Dat RID jazz is a cool cat. I've enjoyed that mold a good bit. He's my go to figure right now for silly pics. I may have to double dip on Tak's Drift/Jazz two pack.

Oh you know I did :)

And guys, sorry to have derailed the thread, we can discuss all our love for the different molds in the right thread (so glad this line is getting some recognition from fans). We've been even listing them in order of best to worst. http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/transformers-robots-in-disguise-2015-products-thread-t101922.php

I absolutely cannot wait to find the newest wave! My collection is lacking all four of those awesome characters. I'm almost done the first season of G1 (brilliant series) and I now feel a connection with all of the characters that I never used to know who they were.

So new to newer collectors, and kids who are in the prime demographic, or older kids who were to young when Classics was out, can get their hands on great representations of the classic characters. And at a regular retail price that won't break the bank.
I have them in hand, and all four are FANTASTIC FUN!
Good luck on the hunt joeprime!

This is why I don't mind that this and next year's wave exist. Sure I don't need to buy them (priorities ergh) as I've already got representations of each one of these guys on my shelf - but hell, it's all good, gives newer collectors* a chance to pick up the classic characters that haven't seen retail shelves in upto 9 years.

*Now I'm still relatively new, having started with the FOC range, but I spent far too much time/money trawling eBay and the likes over the last three years to build my collection up, not everyone has the funds/desire to do that, and that is why I don't mind seeing guys that have already been released in the past getting a new lease on life. I do respect collectors' whose opinion is that we should be getting new characters each wave, rather than rehashing, because I feel the same sometimes, but I just have to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

I like them a lot. I wish there was a way to flip the front part of the car on Mirage to his chest to make him like his G1 representation, but glad to have him in my collection.

I really like the positivity, here. It is very refreshing in contrast to the attitude typically attributed to fans. I myself think this is fun and also a really fun way to show kids both the idea of combiners and bringing back classic characters. It reinforces the fact that with 30 years of TFs, this brand has reached the appeal of Marvel or Starwars. I dont hear complaining that there is a new Batman, Spiderman or Darth Vader toy each year and I find it fun that the TF brand is following suite with their more popular characters.

But if a Hasbro rep is reading these boards (as they say they do) there are still 2 points I would like to make.

1: These extra combiners should be additive and they do not replace other combiners such as Computron and Abominus. I understand that this is a way to reuse the molds but...

2. If you were to use this as a chance to reintroduce new characters, it would have been even better to give more than simply retooled heads. Something along the lines of the differences between First Aid and Offroad would have been very appreciated. Because right now it seems that instead of getting new molds (like with Abominus which isnt happening), we are just getting rehashes with the excuse that they fit classic characters.

Mirage is one of the 2 I'll be getting from this wave. They do look pretty cool. I'm actually ok with the front of the car on his back, he still manages to pull it off :BOT:

I think firstaid may have worked to homage the g1 and universe forms, but there's just something right about ironhide being a pickup 8-)

Ironhide always started out as a van, but I think Bay did a really good thing by making him a truck. that is the definition of Ironhide's personality right there :michaelbay: :D :BOT:

Well as first-aid he would have homaged G1 ironhide by looking like a van, but yes that was a smart update.

He's built Cyberford TUFF!!! :MR-T:

I think they're all fantastic.
Mirage and Bluestreak are my all time oldest favs.
This Mirage works so well for me. I don't even care that his nose fin isn't in front. The colors and the head DO IT!I'm glad he got his shiny shoes back.
I was most skeptical of Prowl - Since Blue is near and dear to me, all the Dats bros are. PROWL LOOKS SOOO GOOD!. The contrast on him is slick, and the sharpness of that head sculpt slices the Classics version clean OFF!
Off Road stole the show for me so this Ironhide is just plain clean fun. That guy was meant to carry a battle axe. My only nitsy pick is that his head sculpt looks like a teenager who just shaved for the first time. It's hard to coax the angry old man out of that face.
Breakdown caught a lot of heat, but I liked him just fine. Streaker works for me. The foresight with the hand/foot storage is supper cool. Sunstreaker is certainly a strong contender to place in the Mr.Cybertron competition this year. Don't stare to long, he'll burn your receptors! HOT!
Check out his bio!

Uncle Hasby wrote:A Combiner robot needs contributions from every bot that forms it, and OPTIMUS MAXIMUSTM is no different. OPTIMUS PRIMETM can bring the courage. PROWLTM can provide the strategy. SUNSTREAKERTM? He makes the Combiner look goooood.

Edit: OH! I didn't even mention Op Max. Sheeeeeet... You can go on back to page 2 of this thread if you don't already know how I feel. ;)

I sure did and thank you. You're a bad influence on my pocket book BTW.

Streaker looks great, if I didn't know better, I'd say you painted them rims.

After your review; I want them all. I don't have deluxe\classics\chug (what ever the cool term is) versions of any of these guys. Dangit, I'm gonna hope they show up late to the party in my area...
