I dunno what started the Junkion combiner talk, but whomever originally asked if there has been a Junkion combiner before, the answer is yes... kind of.

I've got some neat (I hope!) pictures to post later today. But I did want to bring up something that I hadn't seen mentioned yet. The comics packed in with the Bruticus Limbs are reprints of the first 4 comics in the CW series, perhaps to get us Americans the first four issues that didn't come with the very first wave of deluxe CW figs....

(I still want those first four comics.... Stupid completionist brain...)

Nah, those are Power Core Combiner drones. They don't have robot modes unfortunately, and sadly they're not very good as limbs as they're spring-loaded and thus have minimal articulation. That said they make very fun little cars, and the Scout class figures that form the torsos are (mostly) very good standalone figures. I'd recommend Steamhammer and the Constructicons to anyone.

Ah yes, but those pictures aren't quite to scale. The dude with a robot mode is Scout class. The limb drones are each about Legion size (as you can see by the combined picture).

That's the core figure. The cores transformed into bot, alt, and torso modes, but the limbs only went from alt to limb.

Hey man, you have every right to want them. I actually think it really sucks for americans that Hasbro switched the gears on the extras because you end up with an incomplete set of accompanying comics (simply fun to have for the covers) and an incomplete set of the cards, especially since the first wae didnt have all the aerialbots.

Also, to anyone who desnt know about power core combienrs, the best place to check them out is here: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers- ... iners/128/

I never wanted the comics in the first place, haven't even read any of mine.

I would gladly take any and all collectors cards over some dumb comic released in dis-jointed intervals. I mean, we've gotten cards from g1 all the way through energon... I've got a nice collection going :(

So I recently discovered that the CGI renders used for the new product stock photos are wonderfully easy to photoshop (Well, GIMP in my case...). As such, here's Armourhide from RID2001 (well, his American toy in all its sand-blue glory) from CW Brawl.

Anyone else got any good CW photoshops?

It's not really nice to say Scattershot is not a good torso. He was just poorly executed, but a great mold nonetheless. and never use any aerialbot limbs when it comes to legs for any combiner using the MM mold. They just don't work well at all. And junkion combiners? really? .....cool! :BOT:

I don't think anyone would claim he's not a good torso, he's just insulting to their nostalgia - and in comparison to the effort put into all of the other cw figures, I can see him being considered relative junk in the midst of torso's like galvy and bruticus |:|

Oh yeah. No disputing the functionality of the figure. Nothing to do with nostalgia, he just looks like garbage.

Did you guys see that nice quick and easy custom in the last Creative Round Up? I might muster the courage to try something like that.

His vehicle mode is cool and his robot mode is alright but his torso mode is literally just a (badly) recoloured Superion.

Compared to how Bruticus/Defensor and Superion/Grand Galvatron came out, I can understand this, and it is a bit sad that those could have such work but Computron suffers :BOT:

Ya, that's about it. Sadly I think he is a victim of the end of the budget. they had enough to do some decent retooling but ran out of money at the combiner head and paint. I think the Scattershot head sculpt looks great.
Just because I think he's a stinker doesn't taint my opinion of anybody who want's to get him. Rodi P, I think he's worth it if you are into him. If you like it, do it.

And like I said, after seeing that nice custom in the Round Up, I might bite on him. If the price is right. Onslaught certainly takes precedence at the moment.

Is he that much different than Silverbolt and Cyclonus? It can't be the red that makes him look that bad, can it? I'm planning on picking him up to comine him with the '84 guys since he won't have official Technobots, so I would like to know if he's worth it or not.

His vehicle mode is cool and his robot mode is alright but his torso mode is literally just a (badly) recoloured Superion.

Yeah, they should've done the right thing and pushed up sky lynx, then released a hatchet repaint of sky lynx in the next wave with the bronze-chested bruticus [-(
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

I'm still seriously considering buying 4 Ironhides for his limbs. Lots and lots of red.

I just got Onslaught and Scattershot in the mail, and I would post some pictures, but my mom thinks that they are a Christmas present for me (as I haven't been able to open the box yet), so I'll have to wait until my Dad gets home to convince her. :( I'll get back to you guys at about 9:00 ET or so.
