I have both g2 sets and I like them a lot. I will say that certain things don't tab in properly like sky dives shoulders and wild riders combiner port is a bitch to get out for some reason but other than that everything is solid. Quite a bit tighter than the regular versions so that's a plus and the decos are amazing, very few blemishes if there's any at all.
I had the exact same problem with my Wildrider. I had to poke something through the hole in his back to push out the port.
It's getting looser the more I transform it but It's still tighter than normal. Did your firefly have a "soft" combiner port? Like It's not loose but the ratchet itself isn't as strong?
I'll have to check when I get home. I think I remember that on one of the pegs
Now that I think about it, it might not have been firefly but one of them definitely have a softer ratchet.
If I decide to get them I'll be sure to look out for these. But I would have them either combined or stored in their boxes when not out on display. So I'm mainly concerned with how they hold up when they're together.

I would be buying them from TRU at $100 each. Is that a fair price? I checked eBay and some of the online stores, they all have different prices.

Hasbro Toy Shop has them for $80 with the spring coupon that also includes free shipping.

Also, that joint has no stress on it in combined mode, it's the fist thar covers up the combiner port and is only moved when you change from combined to alt or robot. I don't know how Willis did that as the pin isn't that tight there.

The code, by the way, is SPRINGFF and it expires after tomorrow. So if you want your Supes for $80 shipped, get him by the end of March 31.

Does anyone know when CW Computron is expected for release? Is it going to May or July? Is Victorion scheduled for release at the end of May which would likely mean July for either it or G2 Bruticus. And if it isn't July, I think UW Computron (August) would be released before the CW version.

Also, I've missed it, but is Hasbro thinking about a G2 Defensor? With Liokaiser, Computron, G2 Bruticus, and Victorion still coming, that puts the box sets ending in November but Defensor would push it into 2017.

We do not have info on any of those releases yet, sorry. But we know that Hasbro did release 2 CW boxsets in 2 months, so they could easily release them all this year, there's enough months :)

I was assuming a 2-month interval since Superion came out in January and Victorion is expected in May.

The smart money would say that Victorion has an April or May release, and since Computron and Liokaiser haven't even been formally revealed by Hasbro (we only know about them through leaks), they'll be announced at Botcon or SDCC along with the 2017 Titans Return early waves. If there's a G2 Defensor in the works, it will probably be first announced at one of these events as well.

Defensor is the only scramble city classic CW combiner we don't have a confirmed G2 deco release of. A yellow/orange Devastator seems like an easy redeco but maybe they don't want to clog shelves with a slow-mover.

I think the size class is holding back a G2 Dev. They've already got they're one titan class bot scheduled for release.

Interesting, how did that happen?

Apparently, I should stop changing it from bot to gestalt, it's the only time the fist are moved.

Does anyone else know if G2 Bruticus will be able at retail or just a Takara/Con exclusive?

Also, the only part of Computron I've seen is Scattershot and his box shows combining with the other Arielbots to make Betatron, can anyone explain this?

G2 bruticus will be available at retail just like G2 menasor and g2 superion.

As for the second question, there's different rumours but the one I like is the one that says they needed another voyager to go out with one of the waves for some reason and thus took the in development scattershot and sent him out on his lonesome, the same way as with cyclonus.

Does Cyclonus have a confirmed combiner or is it just gonna be the random Galvatronus?

For hasbro, cyclonus just brainwashs other bots and cons into joining with him to become galvatronus while takara give cyclonus a team to form into grand galvatron (including the really nice looking but fragile looking ghost starscream)

We've seen hasbro's take on computron already, it was leaked a bit back. Before that, we had the tru leak that showed computron for $100, so its considered a normal boxed set release. I'd say, pay attention to the news posts when botcon rolls around, I'd imagine they'll be showing computron off there.

:MAXIMAL:

1) As explained before, same venues as G2 Superion and G2 Menasor. However, it will have the Quickslinger-redeco Blast Off, not the new-mold shuttle one. Can't stress that enough.

2) It's not the Aerialbots he combines with, it's with Optimus Maximus' limbs. You're not missing much, all the retools done are only visible in vehicle and robot mode: the torso mode is unchanged (no new chest panels or head, same goes for the Hasbro giftset), so he just looks like a red Superion torso. Like Hasbro's Cyclonus and Optimus Prime, he's a "spare torso", and only serves as filler for the Voyager assortments.

EDIT: Just to be clear, here are all versions of CW Scattershot:

1) Standalone Voyager: forms Betatron with Optimus Maximus limbs, or any 4 limbs for that matter
2) Computron giftset: straight redeco
3) Unite Warriors Computicon: more extensive retool, includes new chest panels and head for Computron/Computicon
The resident Rewind... well, half of one
