Amazon one day shipping? Might be an expensive way to do it. I think I saw one in Target here in MN, but not close enough to you, I believe... :(

I swear I just looked on Amazon before posting and didn't see an Amazon Prime deal. Thanks for looking. I paid for the 1 day shipping option so I can have it on Friday.

In the meantime, still looking to see if I can find one at retail. I'll check a couple of my local Targets in the morning so that I can hopefully get it tomorrow instead in order to finish the gallery.

I know it's been the trend for this line for the voyager assortments to come out later than the corresponding deluxes, but I'm really annoyed I haven't seen a Sky Lynx anywhere. I see maybe one or two Voyagers in some stores, none in others, and four or five in still others, all Onslaughts and Scattershots. Sky Lynx is the last individually packed retail CW figure that I want. (I want Groove as well as Quickslinger and Brake-Neck but Groove isn't officially for sale yet and those two are pricey, and none of them are/were available at brick and mortar retail).

I'm almost willing to pay for one at cost from anybody who has one available near them, but I'll wait a bit longer.

Yeah, be patient and wait a bit longer. It was literally a month+ after I ordered and received Motormaster that I finally saw him in a store... And I waited for a long time before pulling the online trigger... Saw Prime and Silverbolt forEVER.
I can't seem to find a legends class Shockwave... And as much as I like the look of the TT version, it's pretty steep.
Anyway, imo, if there's no way to save on shipping, it's worth waiting to see it in a store.
These things are already expensive enough!

The counterargument with Motormaster is that, out of all of the CW Voyagers released to retail, Motormaster was one of the very few to be rereleased in the line in another wave after its original release. There are no more waves after Sky Lynx, so his first wave release is his only chance of release.

Fair enough...
I don't really feel tempted to get Sky Lynx anymore, but at the same time, I'm not committing to getting anything from TR, so who knows... Especially if I could find him on a sale.

Is anyone else a little disappointed that Lynx isn't leader class?
I get that being voyager class allows him to be torso, but would a larger figure have trumped that for anyone??

I kinda like Sky Lynx being a combiner. From pure looks alone Sky Reign is probably the best torso, and I love how bizarre, out of the blue and insane it is - especially when topped off with the mad head sculpt.
I know an actual updated Sky Lynx would have worked for people, but... honestly? I think getting a G1 re-issue works just fine and fits in. It's the right size, it's very accurate to his actual appearances; being a quadruped and sometimes not even that he doesn't actually need much articulation... of all the G1 guys, he works the best with Generations I think.

Also Sky Reign just looks amazing and I'm glad we got him

Why must you tempt me? I have no interest in the G2 combiners but that price is hard to pass up. Could make some goofy fun combiners out of those pieces.

So I got Swindle, Brawl and Legends Class Groove in the mail today, and...
...
Is it sad to say I like Groove the most?
Like, I'm just sitting here, fiddling with him and transforming him back and forth. Even to his weird tit shield mode I'm having fun transforming him into that.
I don't even have Hot Spot. I just like this little guy; maybe I should've been collecting Legends the whole time.

Gotta admit though he's got some weird assymetry going on. Like, on one side he's got a mini-con port and on the other side he's got a peghole. I guess it lets him hold a variety of weapons but it's kind of annoying me with how it looks. Eh, whatever. Love him.

Legends are awesome, though my groove doesn't like staying together in vehicle mode bit he does look sweet with fire flights flame thrower in bike mode.

Swindle and Brawl are best as Bruticus's legs. (Legs ONLY, dammit!!!) Their individual robot modes are passable at best, the vehicle modes are average.

Also, I got lunch at McDonald's today, and in the booth next to me was a family with a 6- or 7-year-old boy and he was playing with a CW Prowl. Made me smile. Hopefully the parents didn't think I was a perv checking out their kid. :(

As legs Swindle and Brawl have been absolutely fine; so for Bruticus they're perfect - just like how Blast Off's problem (no faceplate) doesn't matter in limb mode. Plus I've done a bit of fiddling with them and it's kinda fun what you can do; putting Swindle's gun in one of his hands in leg mode and making it horizontal blocks the hands from sight, while I've also found that when you extent Brawl and Rook's leg modes with their robot mode feet they're the same height. Unfortunately Swindle doesn't have the peghole on his feet, so this won't work for Bruticus... I guess you can have a taller Galvatronus?
Funnily enough I've found I love Swindle and Brawl in vehicle mode. They make a great little unit with Onslaught, Blast Off and Armadascream (Vortex is yet to even show up for me), and the HFG integration on Brawl's turret is just wonderful. Even when my Perfect Effect kits arrive I'm gonna keep his HFG around just for that.

Okay, I managed to win a CW Defensor on eBay. wasn't expecting it, but there you go.

Anyway, I now need to get Deluxe Groove so I can toss out Rook. Anyone remeber when he is supposed to go on sale?

It's a shame Hasbro didn't release groove fully. He's probably my second favourite figure of the team after rook. Though anyone else have trouble pegging his legs together properly so the wheel clips shut in bike\leg mode?

Sorry, but no. To me, Rook is a fake imposter made as nothing more than a cheap money grab by Hasbro. He'll be used as target practice. A meaningless sacrifice, to be sure, but it will make me feel better. My own personal protest.

What's so bad about a new character being added to the team? It makes sense fiction wise to have another bot on standby in case any of the limbs are blown off. Like in that g1 en where first aid quits, Rook, if he existed, could of been a substitute.

Though now I think about it, I'm surprised combiners are as scary as they are when surely there would be multiple workarounds to deal with them like concentrating all firepower on the limbs, attacking while they are combining (like throwing grenades into the mix) or doing the ole empire strikes back approach and tie their legs up.

Anyways...I do respect your decision Ironhidensh, even if I don't agree with it. After all you've paid the money for it :-)

Yup, that's pretty much what I do with Bruts and Defensor.

I also have Menasor's and Optimus Comprimer's legs in fan mode as well. The extra height helps with the long arms.

Also concerning the Breakdown mold. Easily my least favorite. Sharp alt mod and it makes a nice leg but his weird hips fight me in bot and arm mold. Other than his hips, I like The mold fine and its nice to have a little diversity in the line.

The crazy part is they pre-teen Shockwave has the same hips and they work just fine :-?

That is due to slightly different mechanisms in similar hip engineering. Whereas Tinywave's hip things are totally independent of each other, Breakdown's have tabs to keep the legs from getting too close together or too far apart, thus adding some restrictions.
