I have an update on Devastator. Besides the 6 voyagers Takara will release each member individually as a MP figure since they're going to be MP car size.

That is very, very unlikely. The whole point Takara has with the MP line is that the figures are in scale with each other in robot mode. It's unlikely that they would suddenly abandon a strategy that's been working fantastically for them.

No I wasn't. The info comes from another reviewer who's source has always been 100% accurate with upcoming releases thus far. They knew about MP Star Saber before the Takara poll was even done. I agree the thought of these being part of the MP line is odd, but perhaps it's that gray MP line that the movie figures fall into. Also lets be honest for a moment; MP Bumblebee was a glorified deluxe, with none of the bells and whistles previous figures had. It doesn't even have articulated hands! By that standard I can see the Constructicons being placed in the MP line. Now as to the price I've always heard a $100 price point since I can't see TRU having a toy higher than that on shelves. How that breaks down per figure is anyone's guess but keep in mind Voyagers have been smaller recently so that might be part of the trade off.

What are you talking about, the AOE Autobot and Dinobot box sets exclusive at TRU were both over 100$.

I'm in the US. Metroplex was only $100 from what I remember and I'm fairly certain those other two AOE sets were the same. Online retailers are usually more money. I'd be very surprised if I'm wrong just because from a security issue it would be difficult to stock those toys.

I'm in US too. I got plex after the fact, But I thought he was more at retail. I wouldn't argue you with you chuck. In fact, I'd say that's GREAT NEWS. But at that price point it can't be MP quality.

I can guarantee the AOE TRU Exclusive sets were over 100$ (about 120$). And there was a security issue, hence why those box sets came with a security disk strapped to them.

There is extremely flawed reasoning here.

(1) How is Bumblebee not having articulated hands related to including Generations-style Constructicons in the MP line? Bumblebee is small because that was roughly his robot scale in the cartoon. The word "deluxe" has no relevance given MP-scaled robots. And bells and whistles? Besides the hands, what bells and whistles does MP Sideswipe or Prowl or Wheeljack have that Bumblebee does not?

(2) Your argument on price is ridiculous. I could walk through any TRU and find dozens if not hundreds of items that are over $100. Remember Star Wars Millenium Falcon? How about Power Rangers Titanus, which is on sale right now for $99, but retails at over $100. Legos are hella expensive. And what about Hasbro MP10, or the Platinum leader Optimus & Grimlock 2 pack? Those were over $100.

Star Saber is super popular in Japan, in fact he was the most popular and important character of all of the ones on the list to Japanese audiences. So it was pretty inevitable for him to win.

As I explained in detail at the time, the Movie Leader Class repaints in the MP line were not part of the actual Masterpiece line, they were of a subline Masterpiece: Movie, which is why their numbers were "MPM01 and MPM 02". Like MPB for MAsterpiece Brave. On top of that Starscream was an impressive mold and pretty much in the spirit of the Masterpiece line of the time, only missing die-cast parts really, and the paint apps on them were amazing.

You clearly don't own him, or any MP figures since MP-09. BB is in scale with the rest of the MP figures since MP-10, which makes him shorter than a Deluxe figure. Yet he's much more complex than a deluxe class figure. People complain about his arms and his hands, there is no way Takara could have done it differently. without making him incredibly fragile.

Last I checked TRU stocked HAsbro's Mp figures, Soundwave being a 125 dollar toy for instance, oh and then there are the Consoles, or does TRU sell PS4s for $100? And what about the outside toys like the cars children can drive?

I've never seen those figures at my TRU except the Millennium Falcon which I never saw for more than #100. Maybe times have changed since I haven't been there in awhile.

I have Bumblebee and I have all the cars except Bluestreak (because I'm holding out of the blue repaint) and I understand the new scale design. While the larger cars are a bit more complex Bumblebee is on the same difficulty level as any deluxe I've handled, and regardless of size I think they're way too small for the price. Now like I said the Constructabots might have a new MP designation like the movie toys, something like MPC-01 or MPG (gatai). I really don't think we'll see 6 Masterpiece level figures done for Combiner Wars. Also I don't consider Video Game Systems toys, they're also kept behind a case in a different section.

I can see a "Masterpiece Set" much like the BBTS exclusive Seacons or Amazon exclusive Unicron. That would make sense, he may be on to something.

Personally, I could care less if it is in scale with the rest of the Combiner Wars. If anyone has ever read the post "Figures you wish for that Hasbro will never make", this ranks at the top of most people's wish list.

I may be totally wrong, so people please correct me, ut I thought the Amazon Unicron was titled as a Generations release (much like this Devastator) and not an MP or even a platinum.

No, because if it was sold as a Masterpiece I would have bought it and would still be laughing at the ridiculousness of a shoddyly made reissue of G1 figures sold as a Masterpiece.
But no, as you can see from this pic, it was actually part of the ambiguous 2010 line, but part of the Commemorative G1 branch. That line like Universe 2008 before it, was just one big umbrella line with each figure being labeled as being part of other universes or lines. It had Movieverse figures, Classics, Unicron Trilogy, G1, and even Masterpiece figures. With each figure stating either through the bio or a label what it belonged to.

If Metroplex was released as a masterpiece edition I could buy it, but it wasnt. The only predecessor for a figure rereleased as an MP (as Chuck indicates) are the leader movie figures like this one:

"That was the droid I was looking for" I was beginning to think Alzheimer's set in early on me! I knew there was a reg release that was released MP. Still doesn't match up for Devy though.
