Pretty sure that we were saying very explicitly from the very beginning that we wanted a different head, so, yes it's a response, but not the one we truly wanted...
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

I would have liked a Payload deco of the Scrounge version of the mould - that would have been nice - but that is unlikely unless it's in a gift set as it's not like they are going to be giving you a free Minicon/Targetmaster these days very often.

Also : Just a notice that Machine Boy are still making other over scale Legends toys : new-transformers-knockoff-thread-p1816299.php#p1816299 for anyone looking for other options.

He's always been that short since he started showing up.

And Blastoff actually has a retactable mouthplate. He takes it off multiple times to talk and do stuff, then puts it back on

It was just me joking really. I suppose what would seem large to the Maximals might not see so big to a "Guzzler" (larger Transformer).

Looks like IDW were taking the Toy scale a bit to literally - that said I'm happy with Tank Drones being that size.

Oh the endless joke that the only toy of the form Ironhide has had for years are 3rd party ones is still making me chuckle.

Those are 5 Transformers Collectors' Club exclusives - which cost about 70$ apiece. Yes, that much for a deluxe.
They're also making another combiner with Toxitron as the torso and Impactor, Fractyl, Counterpunch and someone unknown (likely Bluestreak) as the limbs.

And that for MORE retools of the same old molds... Wow. I thought Vicky was kind of a money grab, but at least that one has more tasteful colouring.
A bit sad though, I'd have liked to own Spinister, and perhaps a few more. And combining them into that big guy, well, that'd just gbe a nice bonus. But not for that kind of money, lol. :BOOM:

His alt mode hasn't yet been shown. We'll likely have to wait until IDW shows Bruticus combined - which will, imo, likely look like CW Bruticus complete with jet shoulder.

So to the guys that have Computron, how exactly does Scrounge connect to Strafe? Is there any new tooling on Scrounge to allow for the connection or can Cosmos also be connected?

The hole where the waist collapses into was expanded to 5mm on Scrounge, so Cosmos can't fit.

I actually have Cosmos on Sky Reign currently. He's kinda gripping onto the shoulder(Hound) with both arms. I've moved it around a few times and he hasn't fallen off yet.

Interesting talk from a Hasbro designer, Emiliano Santalucia, from TF Nation (found on allspark.com).

CW Skylynx was designed by hasbro initially but like with Gen Arcee, Hasui redesigned it to look more G1:

The panel then moved on to the Combiner Wars line, for which Emiliano produced a piece of battle scene artwork used by Hasbro when pitching the line internally, showing many characters planned for the line. He noted that he hadn’t been able to show this art at another recent convention appearance, as it included Alpha Trion, who was originally planned for Combiner Wars!

Emiliano did the initial designs for Sky Lynx, which he noted were changed quite significantly by Takara’s Shogo Hasui, and that he subsequently used Hasui’s style as inspiration in many later designs. The original design for Sky Lynx was sleeker and more stylised, compared to the final toy’s more G1-style look, and the Sky Reign torso mode was shown with the toy’s wings spread wide.

Emiliano also worked on the Victorion release. Due to the relatively short turnaround time, work on the figure’s new parts was split between many designers – Emiliano worked on the new heads, Marcelo Matere designed the new chest pieces, and others still worked on the weapons. Of the heads, only Victorion’s changed significantly for the final toy – the original design, with a faceplate and no eye visor has been seen on some IDW comic covers.

I was looking at the comparisons and I thought of something, those getting the two computrons to mix and match can use Hasbro's Lightsteed as CW Red Alert.
