I still think you did a smart move. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Could you write to them?

Probably will later today. Currently at college waiting for the next class to start in a few minutes!

Whats the class?

English, dear Wiljam!

By the way, I actually just wrote Scramble Core a quick note asking about the ETA of when they're getting their stock.
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

Well, that was fast. Still October for them, sadly.

Ryan,

As of right now, we do have an estimated October release date for Groove. We did receive a small batch of them from Hasbro but we're filled from orders prior to yours. Hopefully this means we will get more in shortly but we are at the mercy of Hasbro's distribution.

If you do not want to wait, we can always exchange it for an instock item of equal value(or pay the difference on a higher priced item) or we can issue you store credit.

That is one thing that makes me Leary of some online retailers. If something is not in stock...don't offer a pre-order for it unless you are 100% CERTAIN you are getting more in. I see several sites with "wait lists" on out of stock items...some wont charge you until they get the product...but some will...stringing you along for months until they absolutely have no chance of getting said item, then they will cancel your order, and refund the money. But it just gives a lot of people false hope. I like BBTS. If you check there daily occasionally they may get an item back....

About 3 months ago I saw they had a UW-EX Ground Scourge in stock...actually 2 and I jumped on that and bought both....a few days ago I saw they got ONE UW-06 Bruticus...but I hesitated...my loss because someone else jumped on it, rightfully so.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Well, that was the original estimated arrival time for that figure, so they're still on track. I say order one from hts, and swap your pre-order for an in-stock figure you want, win-win ;)^

So far, I've collected five U.W. sets. This got me thinking: Hasbro introduced a few new Deluxe characters for their combiners, which Takara didn't do, and instead chose for classic names.
Fortunately, if you still want those new characters, Hasbro lets you buy them all seperately.
I'm not talking about the few robots that have the same name, but a different mold, such as Blastoff and Nosecone for example.
I'm talking about Offroad (who wasn't a G1 Menasor limb), Rook (Defensor), Alpha Bravo (Superion).
And there's also the difference in Skyreign/Lynxmaster with UW having Ratchet, and CW having Smokescreen.

I'm thinking of getting the UW Lynxmaster (for Ratchet mostly), and hopefully UW Superion (with Slingshot) and then getting 4 "missing" deluxes, plus another Voyager, to create a new Combiner:
- CW white Convoi or whatever he's called, or another Voyager that's not in UW-01 through 08.
- CW Offroad
- CW Rook
- CW Smokescreen
- CW Alpha Bravo

I want this to be an all autobot combiner though, but that's okay, because I never liked Roller on Grand Galvatron as an autobot. Galvatron need decepticons imo, so I can swap out Offroad with Roller!
The new combiner's legs would be Rook & Roller! Rock & Roll Convoi!

The trick is: finding all these seperate figures... They're just nowhere to be found in the EU, except maybe from Kapow Toys, with whom I sadly have quite a bad experience.
So if you know any EU online shops that may have these figures, please let me know ;)

I thought Hasbro dropped the ball by not doing a seeker remold of one of the deluxes. Endless repaints and limbs for the voyager torsos.

I think it's mainly because they weren't being very inventive about them and weren't going full extra mile... Bots we've seen several times already got unimaginative uses (mainly the ones composing Sky Reign and Optimus Maximus, sans torsos). Would've loved to have seen bots that haven't seen a good update yet; Predators! Turbochargers! Maybe some Pretenders sans shells there, too! That's what I would've liked to have seen, not a rehash of the 84/85 crew who already have some good figures out there and not reuses of previous molds that don't necessarily fit the character (looking at you, Sunstreaker and Ironhide).

Deluxe Groove available again on Amazon for $16.99 + tax. Decent deal if you're a Prime member and can get this with free shipping.

It shows up as $29.67 for me.

--------

Did any UKsters ever order a cheap CW Victorion off the USA Amazon site - and if so did they get charged customs when it arrived as it doesn't charge the fee's on the site so that implies it isn't prepaid customs like they sometimes have ?

As obviously it makes more sense to be patient with Vicki if you are going to get £20.00 tax slapped on top of the price and end up paying £80.00 for her - not sensible when often the boxed sets end up on sale for something under £70.00 from time to time.

Yea, unfortunately anytime Amazon directly sells a popular figure, especially one that isn't widely available, they sell out fairly quickly. This is the 2nd time I've seen it available through Amazon at $16.99, so they may very well get more stock in the near future.

Interestingly, I noticed Toy Dojo dropped the price of this figure to $19.99.

Keep checking throughout the day and the next few days. I got mine from Amazon back in May and they came available and then sold out 3 times in the same day before I got my order in.

For $10 a limb i might be willing to build either Betatron or Sky Reign seeing how i already own Sky Lynx (Target) and Scattorshot ($12 at Dirt Cheap). My local TJ Maxx didn't have a complete set of limbs, though, and Marshall's had zero TF toys. If Leader Starscream is $20 CAD that works out to $15 ish USD but i didn't see any of those. Yeah, i'd buy that starscream and skip the other 2 seekers because its coronation screamer and he can sort of stand alone. Edit:I also spotted Motormaster at Ross

Yes, they are 60 CAD here as a regular price and people have happily paid that (at least for Magnus, Megatron and these 2 TR leaders). Of all the prices, thats the only one that feels par for the course. Its the same price you'll find in the states too. And does that €35 include tax? Because the prices I liste dont so you'd have to add a 15% on top of it. No joke, €35 for a leader is perfectly decent.

Takes away the dreaded guessing game at least :) On the flipside, we do end up paying more in VAT: The Netherlands has a split rate of (as of 2012) 6% for food, and a whopping 21% for services and merchandise. By comparison, the local VAT rate here is 8.25%, and food is not taxed.

Groceries, or food that isn't prepared, is not taxed. So if you buy a plain bagel, it's not taxed. Ask for a bagel toasted with cream cheese, it should be taxed. And seriously, who eats pop tarts?
