You guys are cute. Takara will surely release an update to Liokaiser one day, but it wont be in this line, using these molds, or be part of this compatibility. Hence why I went for these. Individually, the 4 limbs are very nice renditions of the G1 characters and nice updates. As a whole its still lacking a bit and I still find it super odd that they went for a black helmet on Liokaiser instead of teal. And thats double sad when that teal plastic on Desarus is amazing. It looks like it is all painted but thats just how bold and glossy the colour is. I really liked it. One of the back feet is super loose though so my Desarus cant stand up well in animal/bot mode.
He happens to be the weakest part for me. Which is odd since I thought it would be the tanks. But somehow, they works very well. The forearms are still a bit awkward but I am over that pelvic connection. Its tight and doesnt looks bad (maybe because the forearms are right there to compare). All the headsculpts look great. And when I got their G1 counterparts out I realized how the two tank like bots use the same basic design and engineering/transformation anyway so them sharing a mold makes sense. I also like how Hasbro really tried to make them look as differently as possible by highlighting different details in the sculpt with colour and paint. I always find stuff like that super fun.

In the end, a decent purchase that I dont mind having done, but I dont think he's one of the best Combiners from the line out there. Computron and Grand Galvatron still beat it.

Bruticus is still my favorite overall. There is just something special about him that I just can't quite put a finger on.

Computron wins as far as continuity. It's just nice having a uniform-ish deco.

Superion wins the playabilty factor. I find him the most fun to pose and mess around with. He seems to be the most stable of the bunch.

I really do dig the look of Menasor and might just be my fav aesthetically speaking. But the way I have mine fanformed makes him a wobbly nightmare to touch.

Defensor is my least fav and I would have thought he would have been my favorite as I had the G1 version. There is nothing wrong with Defensor he is just a bit dull.

I consider Devastator in a class of his own, so I don't count him with the other CW-biners.
