Anyone asking for remakes is an idiot. What they should be asking for is reissues.o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I know what's gonna happen. People get rid of their CW/UW/etc. combiner now, and in a few years, people will start begging Hasbro for new versions of the combiners all over again.
I've already seen people asking for new ones on other sites, and yes it's painful to read. I get not wanting to pay $300-$400 for some UW sets, but remaking them all over again is too soon. I honestly thought it would never happen, and am glad to have them all, I still want unreleased characters using the same system. It's not perfect, but it is nice for building an army of combiners.

I don't have the money to spare right now, sadly.Rodimus Prime wrote:Easy, Zelda. Just because other people want different things than you doesn't make them idiots. I do agree with eBay prices being ridiculous, though. If you're looking to buy limbs, PM me with a list and I'll see about making you a deal on the ones I'm planning to sell, if it's the ones you want.

Either way, it sounds like within a year or so, the secondary market may be flooded with people selling off their CW/TR/PotP, so this may drive the price down slightly.
I get it for those who are selling CW toys who were not originally combiners, because they have had better representations in WFC, but selling them all in hopes of official "better" combiners is a little presumptuous.
Off on a Tangent, if TT Raiden MP Project ever comes to fruition, I was initially disappointed because honestly I'd rather have CHUG than Masterpiece Trainbots. However, if they both scale the same, I may go for it, even at the hefty price tag.

o.supreme wrote:Although it seems clear there wer no dedicated teams for Starscream and Inferno (Elita's dedisns came late in the game). i have no inetention of selling really any of them. As I've stated many times, I have a master plan. I have pretty much every combiner except for those in my wish list from the BC 2016 Ratchet BaF class. Inferno is missing one limb, If I can get that all will be balanced.
Though I do admit the Volcanicus and Abominus reissues are throwing me for a bit of a loop... I don't want to get them, but I may end up doing so. There are things I like about each (PotP & TT Selects), and unfortunately, there is no way to amalgamate them to make a best "overall" combiner like you could with some of the others... I'll just have to decide what's most important to me and stick with it. As odd as it is, since I found room for 3 Scattershots across 2 Computrons, and a Modulus (in the works), The PotP & TT Selects while different, are NOT different enough for me to designate them as separate characters.
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Is the Inferno combiner the only one that is missing a limb? How many limbs do you yet need to complete combiners?
The Silverbolt mold (of which Cyclonus is a redeco) is probably the best of all the torsos. When I got mine, he represented IDW's Cyclonus in my collection, so I gave him limbs that were also characters on the Lost Light.Overcracker wrote:I have been considering picking up Cyclonus. Well I'm preparing to get rid of some of my CW and PoTP figures so if you want to make a deal PM me.Other than that my only other interest would be Grimlock and Swoop from Volcanicus. Not sure I'm interested enough to pick up the entire set.

I do have Prime but no limbs for him, and I have been considering picking up Cyclonus. But have no idea what limbs to try to give him.

Yes just Inferno (currently has Jazz, Ricochet and Wreck-Gar) only missing one.
Starscream has Blackwing, Dreadwind, BC 2016 Terrorsuar, and Golden Lagoon SS (aka "Sunstorm") .

Who is on your modulus, or who is meant to be on him

I got three for ya.Rodimus Prime wrote:I use Cindersaur with the Terrorcons, even though it's not official. My legends Wreck-Gar has been renamed Wheelie and is used with my Magnificent Six combiner. Makes him the 6th member. But the combiner still needs a name.

Rodimus Prime wrote:Hmm, I thought of Magnificence myself, but it immediately reminded me of the IDW Macguffin, so I passed. Plus it sounds self-aggrandizing. It would fit more on a combiner with Sky Lynx and Tracks as components.
I completely forgot about Firestormer, but I actually like Safeguard the best. Reminds me of the red Mini-con armor from the Armada game. Weirdly, I think the name would fit Defensor better, considering that he's made up of all emergency vehicles. For this guy, I would need to swap out the 3 limbs that aren't EMS vehicles to really make it work. But other than Ratchet, I don't know who else to use.
